Please forgive me if doing this incorrectly. This is my very first "thread" to Free Republic. I know very well the power of prayer so I come to my fellow Freepers to join in.
My four year old son has a slew of vision problems and has already had 2 eye surgeries ( on his left eye ) to remove a cataract at 6 months old, an MRI on his brain a few weeks after that and then at 3 years and one week old, he had another surgery to remove scar tissue in his lens capsule and to implant an intraocular lens.
A couple of weeks ago he had another eye movement recording to see where they should move some of his eye muscles to help correct his "null" point ( or focal point ) and to correct his head turn.
The report from the EMR was not written and given to his regular surgeon but he said, at our appointment yesterday at Childrens Hopsital that he's ready at any time to do this surgery but may recommend me to the worlds best pediatric ophthalmology surgeon for either just a second opinion or to do the surgery. No big deal if he does because it's only a 2 hour drive one way...
I know this got long but wanted to give some back ground but I'd surely appreciate any prayers you could send up for my child and his surgeon.
Thank you all in advance ~
(If this is in the wrong "spot" could someone let me know how to move it to a different location and which location )
“The Blessings of Patience and Comfort”
Realizing my helplessness,
I’m asking God if He will bless
The thoughts you think and all you do
So these dark hours you’re passing through
Will lose their grave anxiety
And only deep tranquility
Will fill your mind and help impart
New strength and courage to your heart.
So take the Savior’s loving hand
And do not try to understand -
Just let Him lead you where He will
Through pastures green and waters still,
And though the way ahead seems steep,
Be not afraid for He will keep
Tender watch through night and day,
And He will hear each prayer you pray.
So place yourself in His loving care
And He will gladly help you bear
Whatever lies ahead of you
For there is nothing God can’t do...
So I commend you into God’s care,
And each day I will say a prayer
That you will feel His presence near
To help dissolve your every fear.

When prayers go up, blessings come down.
May the Lord’s healing hands hold you all closely.
Please let us know how it all turns out. The FReeper Family is awesome when it joins in prayer for one of our own.
Prayers sent for your little one. While this is not easy for either of you now, if this surgery is a success, think of how great this will be for his functioning later. Definitely go see the “best” ophthalmologist and get that 2nd opinion.
Good luck to you!

Will be praying for your son.
You’ve come to the right spot—your many friends at FR are prayer warriors. I join them with my humble prayers for your
sweet child, for your doctors and those who will care for him, and of course, for you and your family.
Our God is great; our God is good. Bless you.
Praying for you, your son, and your family. God bless you.
Father God, heal this little boy of all eye problems. I ask in Jesus name for healthy tissue in both eyes and perfect vision. In Jesus name Amen!!!
We’ll be happy to, tonight. God bless.
Prayers for your and your son.
Prayers up for your boy, and for you and the whole family.
Your post is fine. Prayers being said now for your son. Jesus loves children and he loves your son very much.
Prayers offered. I have a son who will be undergoing surgery in the next little while. Each time I think of it, I’ll pray for your little boy.
May God bless your little boy and heal him with a shower of grace.
Please forgive me if doing this incorrectly...
There is NEVER an incorrect way to ask for prayers. Thanks for asking. You got ‘em.
Already said a prayer for him. Please keep me posted if it isn’t too much trouble. God bless you and your family.
