Jerome Corsi states that Obama was born in Kenya. He also claims that he is closing in on Mark Niesse as the forger of Obama's BC in Hawaii.

I don't think there is a single 'birther' who does not also fully support opposition of Obama's policies as well. Sadly, many of the 'anti-birthers' who claim to be on the right vigorously oppose, ridicule and harass those who simply feel he's not Constitutionally qualified to sit in the oval office and there's ample circumstantial evidence that warrants, if not demands further investigation. Why do you think that is?

Why haven’t any certified document examiners examined the actual records? The records in Hawaii are those I mean. If it was that Hawaii and Obama wish to set the record straight and honestly resolve this issue, wouldn’t that be the best way to go?

If Corsi was a halfway decent reporter/investigator, he’d be able to prove this in a second. When he heard about the allegedly impending forgery, in enough detail that he knew exactly what was on the document, why didn’t he record these rumors in some verifiable way? Wouldn’t that have been the easiest way to debunk the document (”Look, this document released on X date says exactly what I knew it would say 3 weeks earlier, as shown by this memo dated 3 weeks before X date”)?

Because we were talking right here on FR about passing state eligibility bills that would require the embedded computer transaction logs to be disclosed, and he wasn’t eager for jail time.
The issue is the BC document that Obama produced. Has an Ph.D. level forensics expert with actual trial experience proven it a fake? That is the issue. So far, all I've seen are some people on this thread claiming that there are all kinds of "experts" who have debunked the document, but yet they can't put their money where their mouth is.
Such is a good conspiracy theory. The hard core birthers have invested so much time, energy and emotion into it that they can't let go. That's fine, human nature is what it is. Birthers are anti-Hussein and that makes them our allies despite the fact they believe in silly conspiracy theories. It's an argument within the family and at the end of the day all these birthers we argue with still share the same goal - getting rid of the BHO, the worst president of our lifetime (probably our nations history). Still, we have a responsibility to call out the crazy and make it clear that not everyone on FR or any other conservative sites are buying into the conspiracy theories. Hussein will be defeated on the issues, mostly the economy. Birther stuff will have zero impact in 2012.
