One of the prevailing debates in the GOP these days (if not the only one) is whether or not Governor Sarah Palin will, or should, run for president. Not only should she, she must if the GOP has any hope of having a legitimate nominee whom everyone can support for the 2012 election.
Why? Without Palin in the race a massive segment of the GOP baseTea Party patriots and other independent conservativeswill find themselves once again with the prospect of choosing from a manipulated field of Next-In-Line GOP establishment liberals.
And make no mistakethat is exactly who will prevail. Despite the desperate and not surprisingly shallow belief by the boys in control of the GOP, Palin cannot be replaced by another woman, or another Tea Party supporter, or another Brunette (no matter how much they think a Stalking Horse will split the Tea Party vote). Palins impact is unique, significant and deep. Her influence rests on background, experience, legitimacy and most important of alltrust. These are the reasons why Palin matters, the same reasons why the GOP machine appropriately sees her, and no one else, as an existential threat to their status quo.

I had not seen that website...thanks.
Don’t believe a word Bruce says. She is a double agent.
How true.
The leftists holding a Republican debate prior to the filing deadline was just them trying to get "red meat" for their viewers and the liberal press. They want the Repubs to start blood letting early so they can divert attention away from our ongoing financial crisis and all the gaffs their "Dear Leader" is making.
???
Yep. Remember how a few months ago all the Karl Rove types were lamenting that Palin would have an advantage by being the only woman in the race? Just think of the jackpot they must think they scored by luring Bachmann in to compete in the same conservative/tea party space.
Seeing how she avoided in any way saying or seeing anything wrong with Romneycare (in contrast with her surrogate’s repeat savaging of Palin) and you know who and what she’s in for.
The format of the debate homogenized the candidates differences for me, milk toast I think as somebody described it
Newt was the only one that seemed to have the “Gravitas” but I could never vote for him.
After watching the performances where I was questioning whether Palin was viable before I am now convinced she is the only one that Gravitas to be an effective candidate, A Palin and Cain ticket would knock the liberals on their ass.
I used to like Michele, but I just can't trust her anymore. It's not just the Rollins hiring, although that didn't help. You have to wonder why a tea party supporter would hire a establishment type to run her with campaign.
What first raised my suspicions was the way she went on TV after the gov't shutdown deal and sung Boehner's praises for how hard he fought for them. Then we find out the deal is a total sham and we got nothing for it. That really caused me to question Michele's honesty.
Then the media starts their meme about a cat fight developing between Bachmann and Palin. Michele goes on TV and declares to the world that she considers Sarah Palin a friend. Less than 24 hours later, Rollins disses Sarah but no response from Michele in defense or her 'friend'.
I'm starting to believe more and more that the only reason Michele is in the race is either to discourage Sarah from running, or to split the tea party vote if Sarah does run.
It’s too late for her, she’s already missing the debates ...
Tammy’s political instincts are usually right, and I agree with her on this.
Sept. at the earliest.
And when that happens, watch every single GOP candidate takes shots at her in the debates. They will shift their focus from attacking Obama to attacking Sarah.
It Will happen.
I hope it's not the reason but it would explain the Rollins hiring. Time will tell.
Her phony laugh turned me off.
Sarah said she would not run an ordinary campaign. She does not want to peak too soon. She is smart and I trust her to have a good plan. She said it is too early. So ....
And Sarah Will make them look like idiots when it does.
Many here said that when she hired Rollins. Romney is so out of touch her thinks adding a tea party favorite like Bachmann will get him the conservative vote.
No way in hell am I falling for that again.
Here is a partial list of Republican primary debates;

There are plenty of debates left.
Exactly! I liked what a lot of the candidates said last night, and some of them actually improved in my view. The only one there last night I believe has that fire is Ron Paul. And unfortunately I don't think I can vote for him (and I don't think he's electable).
I liked Bachmann, but she did seem a little "canned" at times. My son came in on the end of the debate and say her lame answer to the last question about what the candidates learned last night. Granted, it was a lame question, too, but some of the candidates actually said something, while she gave a canned answer about how great the American people are. My son said he wouldn't vote for her based on that answer alone! He's exaggerating (I hope), but that answer did give me the same feeling that she's just another politician.
Sarah is best for the job. Tammy is right on!
Um, Johnnie, our minds are not welded shut. We have been listening to these fools for the past couple of years (or more!), its just that we no longer hear them. They are nothing more than white noise.
