Jon Huntsman the new Rondald Reagan? Hardly
Island Turtle ^ | June 22, 2011 | Corky Boyd

Am I the only one who thinks Jon Huntsman is a plant?

Huntsman chose Liberty Park to announce his candidacy, the same place Ronald Reagan chose to launch his campaign as the nominee of the Republican party in September 1980. His Casper Milquetoast announcemant speech at Liberty Park simply can't compare Reagan's and is the same recipe for defeat John McCain gave us. And it's no coincidence, John Weaver Huntsman's top political advisor is a former McCain campaign team member.

Soon you will see the NY Times declaring Huntsman the second coming. A drumbeat from the rest of the legacy media will follow. The horribly skewed NY Times/CBS poll will declare Huntsman a front runner. But even worse, his campaign has the earmarks of recent congressional campaigns of Democrats running as "Tea Party" candidates.

Fortunately he doesn’t have the time or organization to make a dent in the Iowa caucuses. But in New Hampshire, an open primary state, Democrats will cross over and vote for him in the Republican primary in an attempt to torpedo viable conservative contenders....

If Jon Huntsman isn’t Rondald Reagan, I don’t know who he is.

Huntsman is like the befuddled donkey, “Puzzle”, in C.S. Lewis’ last Narnia volume, The Final Battle. Huntsman is a put up candidate, a marginal Republican and definitely not a conservative. The Dems know that conservatives would only turn out to vote for Huntsman because of an “anyone but Obama” motivation. No love, no fire.

The question is, “Who is his “Shift”?

“An ape named Shift has persuaded a well-meaning but simple donkey called Puzzle to dress in a lion’s skin and pretend to be the Great Lion Aslan. Shift, using Puzzle as his pawn, convinces the Narnians that he speaks for Aslan.”

John senior had one of his son’s kidnapped when he was a teenager. I wonder if it was this one.

Huntsman may be exactly what we need to beat Romney. If the RINO’s have to divide their vote between Huntsman and Romney, it gives Tea Party candidates a chance to win the primary.

True. And it’s the only redeeming value in his candidacy in fact.

Did you catch him on Hannity the other day?
He said Obama is a ‘good, family man’- just like McLame!

I flipped though the morning talk shows today...the anchor babe on TODAY fell short of having sex, on the air, with Huntsman, but just barely.

CBS, ABC, and CNN all proclaimed him the second coming.

Do these people get their talking points from the same fax printout? Does it say DNC at the top? Whom are they kidding? Only themselves.

None of these GOP presidential candidates dare to say anything about the threat of Islam to our country, because that would not be PC.

They can talk all they want about the economy, national security, national healthcare, etc., but if Islam continues to grow at the rate it is in this country, there won’t be an economy or freedom and we will only have turd world status to look forward to.
