I guess they cant help it, but some bestselling rightwing authors have surprising tastes.
Ann Coulter: Louis Vuitton | Coulter (above) likes making fun of those pro-appeasement Frenchmen, but shes also been caught on camera strolling around the Hamptons with her Louis Vuitton bag, and cant resist French restaurants, where she orders Freedom Fries just to stir the pot, our guess.
Jonah Goldberg: Whole Foods | But thankfully he doesnt have a man bag, or drive a pious Prius, to the best of our knowledge. Whole Foods where I shop frequently, by the way admits Goldberg in Liberal Fascism is fascinating.
Michelle Makin: Banana Republic | Ive got $50 Banana Republic flats, which I thought were a splurge until I saw the other Michelles footwear, the budget conscious Michelle Malkin has blogged. She usually wears her ratty old New Balance sneakers.

This is the envy gene, encoded in the liberal psyche...
And Prince Albert in the can?
Good one!
I’ve never eaten at Longhorn. I haven’t eaten at Red Lobster in years. But Darden is a pretty stable company in general. It was founded in the 1930’s. I looked at their website. They mention a few things about promoting “diversity” amongst their employees, and a mention of “sustainability”, but nothing more liberal than that. Jim Cramer always mentions Darden in his “Mad Money” show. It seems to be a good, reliable stock and is included in many mutual fund portfolios.
Coulter would have to eat a sandwich before she could support the weight of all that metal.
Since opening their first Red Lobster restaurant in Lakeland, Fla, in 1968, Darden says it is now the worlds largest full-service restaurant company. Through subsidiaries, they own and operate 1,900 restaurants......Red Lobster, Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze and Seasons 52.
It would tend to cut down on the flying pastries.
Maybe TEA party folks are supposed to shop at Walmart and Kmart because we don’t belong to the “Whine” party.
I vote with my dollars between elections if at all possible.....

Hot off the runway from Paris.....Chanel Black Pearl, a metallic gun-metal
gray lacquer with pearly teal undertones, is decidedly the nail color of the season.
It makes you feel instantly chic and gives you all the luxury and glamor of Chanel
in a pretty little glass bottle that doesn't break the bank. Featured prominently in
the Chanel Spring 11 Show.
It would be really cool if the nails were brass, and the tips lead colored.
Hmmmmmmm....the fashion mavens will scoop up that idea. LOL
I like Whole Foods and shop there a lot because I don’t have to constantly be reading labels (no MSG). If I could buy Diet Cokes and my kind of laundry detergent I’d shop there all the time.
Ruched metallic sling backs.
When hard work, ambition, delayed gratification and making the right decisions in life lead to lucrative, rewarding careers, you've earned the right to buy nice things.
Liz,
You’re killing me! I love this kind of stuff and am always sending girlfriends tips on what I’ve found. I’m also smart & thrifty enough to ne a hi/low shopper..........you just have to know what you’re looking for.
By the way I discovered Bobbie Brown’s soft pink cream blush this summer while down in Charleston................amazing & natural! If you have any good sites please share.
Thanks for the morning drool...........
Other sites?-—I have a couple really great royal wedding threads you could drool over. LOL.
I do believe that this goes back to the whole entitlement/ I deserve it whether I have worked for it or not.
Example: school recently started back & one of my old students...........who is about 23...............came to see me as she was dropping off her kindergarten son. She has a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. She has no job, did not finish college, had kids w/ losers who don’t contribute and we were talking and she said she was looking to move to a town one town over ( it is an expensive place to live!)and she said, “I’m looking for a place to buy. I need at least 3 bedrooms. I am not into renting. They have programs to buy.” I didn’t have the heart or time to tell her she had not earned the right to say she wants a home.
What is so scary is that this is not some pie in the sky idea, there are so many freebies going around that this attitude is the norm. And we, the poor suckers just work like mules to fund it. Don’t get me wrong, I love my former student & want to see her have a decent life, but where does the reality lightbulb make its appearence???????
