Video: Sen. Barack Obama Says It’s ‘Unpatriotic’ To Rack Up $4 Trillion in Debt
The PJ Tattler ^ | 24th August 2011 | Bryan Preston citing Barack Obama

Posted on 08/24/2011 3:33:52 PM PDT by Mount Athos

“The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars for the first 42 presidents — number 43 added $4 trillion dollars by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion dollars of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child,” Obama said on July 3, 2008, at a campaign event in Fargo, N.D.

“That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic,” said candidate Obama.

However, in less than three years in office, Obama has driven up the national debt by $4 trillion himself.

This should be made into an ad that is played until Nov. 2012

Has the Lamestream Media ASKED Barack Hussein Obama about this quote from his mouth? - It is absolutely absurd how they have carried this guy’s water all this time.

Absolutely agree with you! Also while the ad is playing the debt clock could be visible somewhere as well.

Good find. I also like the one where Obama calls raising the debt ceiling, “a failure of leadership.” Hypocrisy-thy-name is liberal.

AND all non-Dem run shows on TV should be showing this and then discussing the fact that Obozo has added $4 TRILLION to the debt in only 946 days of his 1460 days he is anticipated to serve in his ONE term in office.

Any Repub with backbone would make him publicly eat his words and not get by with blaming Bush. It is fact that the debt increased while Bush was in office. However, Obama apparently thought he could slide over and use the Bush increases without any fault by escalating the debt increase by a multiple factor. It seems that right now Perry is one candidate who might be the only one willing to open the books wide open on Obama. I think Perry has his own political laundry to wash but he could go a long way to showing me he can/is willing to back slap Obama about previous double talk.

Actually, someone asked his media spokesperson about that today (I think), at least according to Levin's show. I'm sure this guy will be forever blacklisted.

Evidently he addressed that on Good morning America, April 15,2011

I think that it's important to understand the vantage point of a senator versus the vantage point of a president. When you're a senator, traditionally what's happened is, this is always a lousy vote. Nobody likes to be tagged as having increased the debt limit — for the United States by a trillion dollars. As president, you start realizing, you know what, we, we can't play around with this stuff. This is the full faith and credit of the United States. And so that was just an example of a new senator making what is a political vote as opposed to doing what was important for the country. And I'm the first one to acknowledge it.

Good to know that political votes are trumping what is good for the country. /s

Knowing the crowd he runs with, ‘unpatriotic’ would be a compliment to them.

For God’s sake, can’t someone on our side make a frigging commercial using this?

Pan frowny Obama faces. Overlay Obama either saying this on tape along with the words overlaying his angry face.

Then phase a graph in of the national debt from Obama’s time in office, and show the 4 trillion+ figure and the mountain graph of it increasing.

HYPOCRITE. UNPATRIOTIC. BY HIS OWN WORDS.

Take the f*#$king gloves off dammit. Start the ads NOW. It is going to take over a year for this to sink in. Just keep running them and repeating them.
