Eh, I was seriously considering voting for Friedman when he ran for governor (since I was pretty fed up with Perry and his dogged obsession for the TTC, along with weakness on illegals). But as the campaign went along, Friedman got less and less serious to the point where the race seemed a big flippin’ joke to him. It rather irritated me, and I haven’t thought very highly of Friedman ever since. Just around that time, Perry started talking tough on the border, so I thought maybe he finally was ‘getting it,’ and I gave my vote once again to him. Of course, after winning the election, Perry pretty much dropped the subject entirely, making me feel like a total sucker. Remained pretty sour towards him ever since.
I emailed the article to a friend of mine who voted for Kinky Friedmant.
Kinky also said Perry doesn’t believe in evolution, but Obama doesn’t believe in Israel.

Saw Kinky Friedman in concert in 1976, in MS. He was with Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue, along with Joan Baez. During Kinky’s set, he had three back-up singers in go-go boots and orange afro wigs. About half-way through his set, I realized that one of the gals was Joan Baez!
Thanks Perdogg. The main impact Kinky Friedman will have on this is to tip votes away from Zero and his miserable America-hating political party and toward the eventual Republican nominee, and that will happen mostly by indirect means, via partisan media shills like Jon Stewart, and maybe SNL. Glad to see it, but it won’t be much. For one thing, Friedman will not support any Republican other than former Democrat Rick Perry, which means his endorsement will vanish, or flip to some indie candidate, or even flip all the way back to Zero.

I don’t get it, and I don’t think anyone who isn’t from the “lick and a promise” school of foreplay will either. IMHO, this one is a swing and a miss.
I'd be very surprised if any dead people voted for Gov. Perry.
