On March 21, 2010, in opposition to more than 60% of Americans, Obamacare, precursor to Socialized Medicine and Tombstone of our free-market economy, passed in the U.S. House by seven votes. The bill reconciling the two versions passed the House at 11:58 PM that same awful day of anguish by only nine votes. It was not the titles of those seven and nine that pushed an unwilling America towards ruin, it was their power.
In 2009 Rick Santelli, gave voice to working-Americas rage. Since he first roused us to the New Boston Tea Party, great conservatives from New York to California rallied as never before and, reveling in their dearth of titles, set the country on fire, redirected the debate, and reasserted the first principles upon which our Nation was founded.
In spite of this unprecedented tsunami of opposition, on that day in March, Nancy Pelosi leeringly sashayed past thousands of protestors, clutching the gavel of power.
Our indignation mattered not. Our clever signs counted for naught. Our honored troops, flags, anthems, and rediscovered Constitution were powerless to stop that gavel from crushing We the People.
Instinctively, conservatives turned all their energy to November 2010. Republicans who leached a royal life off kick-backs, who had all but fossilized in their seats in House and Senate, crumbled in primaries that put all Washington on notice, The Time of Pillaging is done.

You challenged FR’s right to request bloggers not excerpt. Why? And you haven’t answered; WHY IS IT SO HARD TO COMPLY WITH THE NO EXCERPTING REQUEST?
There you go shouting again at me. Why?
No, not at all. FR is private property and the boss can set up any rule or guideline he wants.
But I am challenging your arrogant assertion that FR is the ONLY front in the online war for Conservatism when it is clearly not.
Again, why are you getting so angry?
I find the charges against you to be trumped up and false, with the appearance of being rooted in jealousy.
I vote NOT GUILTY and no amount of misguided reasoning from your accusers, will change my vote. You win they lose.
Carry on Soldier!
That does seem to be the case.
And you STILL have not answered the question.
Why do the two of you object to asking a blogger not to excerpt?
The second part of your statement here is untrue. Point to me my exact words where I have actually challenged the boss' right to set whatever rules he wants for bloggers. You can't because I didn't.
But I do think that the thread police are way too zealous in attacking all bloggers who post here, and its is counterproductive to the movement. We should all be working together, and not staking out turf, which is what you are doing.
And my Post 10 : Jim posted some time ago about bloggers using FR to drive traffic to their blogs. He wasnt pleased.
You challenged that in your Post 12 and Post 17
If Jim has a right to set the rules then bloggers should not be excerpting and this conversation is over.
Not guilty? The thread doesn’t even have pictures!
(/s)
Cheers,
Jim
You also failed to understand that no amount of misguided reasoning would change my vote.
A good compromise likely to keep everyone happy would be to post the (entire!) blog post, then include a link as well.
That way you might get some new readers, and nobody will feel they’ve been tricked into it.
How about it?
Thanks.
I did read your post and the only opinion that counts is Jim’s. He doesn’t want blogs to excerpt. His is the final voice.
No I didn’t. You’re projecting.
PS: With the added benefits, if you post the entire blog post.
You keep Jim Thompson happy. And...
We end up with an interesting thread about possible candidate Palin.
Not a not so interesting, finger-pointing blog thread with FReepers simply arguing and accusing back and forth about blog posts. “Did too!”, “Did not!”. “Did too”.
C’mon nobody wants that.
At least if you post the entire blog post, we can argue that way about candidates.
Not about blogs.
and?
Nothing that is wrong with this country is going to be fixed from the top and power from the top only serves to further destroy what this country was.
What I find more aggravating than bloggers who post partial articles? I mean really, I can easily not go to their site by not clicking on the link. Its pretty easy to ignore. The thing I find really, really aggravating is that when someone does post a good article that should generate some intelligent discussion the whole thread gets bogged down by a couple of holier then thou getting into a pissing match. We are adults and can make up our own minds whether or not we want to click the link or ignore the whole thing. We dont need their taking the nanny state approach to protect us thank you very much. I’ve had enough nanny state crap from the oppresive government we live under.
Or the blogger can post his whole piece right here and avoid the whole mess.
Easy Peasy.
Take your nanny attitude to someone else, Im not empathetic to your sidetracking threads. I’m generally rather annoyed by it.
