Obama can suspend elections all he wants, but he and Joe Biden cease being President and Vice President at the end of their term regardless...

Just like in Venezuela, the average Joe American whould shrug it off and go about his business watching 'Dancing with the Stars' and waiting for CNN to tell them what to do.

Yep. Our electoral system makes it virtually impossible to suspend an election. The democrats can refuse to vote but that just guarantees a republican win.

First, how the heck are they going to elect 870 representatives from all across the country during an election year to represent the 99% on 7/4??? I’ve circulateed the KYW article to many of my friends and neighbors. Having said that and looking at the CAIR guy in the OWS in Orlando, preparing for next summer is at the top of my list...as it should be for both convention host cities. zthese morons are goingto reconstitue again when the weather gets warm. U.S. Constitution section 9 paragraph 2:
The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.
That means Obama can jail people without trial.

If the House of Representatives has not chosen a President-elect in time for the inauguration (noon on January 20), then Section 3 of the Twentieth Amendment specifies that the Vice President-elect becomes Acting President until the House should select a President. If the winner of the vice presidential election is also not known by then, then under the Presidential Succession Act of 1947, the sitting Speaker of the House would become Acting President until either the House should select a President or the Senate should select a Vice President. None of these situations has ever occurred.

The system is deliberately designed to remove the administration at the end of its term. Biden could become president but only until the house votes to put someone in place. If the house is deadlocked, Biden would be removed and Boehner would become president.

The 20th Amendment to the Constitution says :
Section 1. The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.

Section 2. The Congress shall assemble at least once in every year, and such meeting shall begin at noon on the 3d day of January, unless they shall by law appoint a different day.

Section 3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.

Section 4. The Congress may by law provide for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the House of Representatives may choose a President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them, and for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the Senate may choose a Vice President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them.

The United States Code provides for cases where we have neither a President nor VP: the Speaker of the House becomes acting President.

Plus, I think most states have provisions about what to do if the election result is still in controversy by a deadline: the state legislature will meet and decide who that state's electors will be assigned to. That was one of the things about the 2000 Florida controversy: if the votes were not certified by the deadline, then the FL legislature would pick the winner.

And the states are even more firmly in republican hands today. Obama can't afford to lose even 1 midwestern state and as things stand today, he would lose nearly all based on the fact that nearly all are in GOP control.

I think that by next summer & fall, the country will be engulfed in full disarray, anarchy & violence. Even in fly-over country, the RAT socialist bastard demoTurds control the larger cities and we will see protesters & violence in every larger city. Keep your ammo dry & remain locked & loaded. I would not be surprised to see full blown Civil War II in some areas of the country (primarily East & West Coasts) that will have the full support of the RAT bastard commie pig 0dumb). Maybe by then, secession will be the only way to go for 18-20 states or so.

No, Biden's term at VP comes to an end at the same moment that Obama's does. The presidency would go directly to the Speaker at 12:00:01 on the afternoon of Jan 20th.

The Speaker would not necessarily be Boehner, since the new Congress comes into session on Jan 3 and would vote for who would be Speaker in the new session. If there had not been a certified Pres election, then that Speaker-ship election would be very lively, as it would effectively be the House choosing the acting-President.
