It is clear there is nothing like a consensus about who should be the Republican Candidate for President.
We all know the people who should really be in the job don't want to take a pay cut and put up with the slanderous treatment by the MSM.
Is it time for the process to change? We have the technology to do some amazing things.
Can we run an internal poll and decide what potential candidate would be the best possible person to lead the country. I am convinced it would be none of the above (current candidates running).
Anyone think that this is a good idea?
DeMint!!
I really hope you don’t write her in during the actual Presidential election between Bambi and what ever contender we end up with? That would be a huge mistake!
It is your choice of course, but bad news to have a 3rd party!
Ok...

Presidential possibility with the best qualifications for foreign affairs?
Former Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton.
Of course he'll need a capable cabinet able to thoroughly advise him on domestic matters, in particular his vice-president.
I cannot afford to have commanders who do not understand that it is attack, attack, attack, attack and destroy every step of the way. If you have somebody who doesnt understand it, I would strongly recommend that you consider removing him from command and putting someone in who can do the job In order for this to succeed - because the enemy is going to outnumber us - it is going to take, for a lack of a better word, killer instinct on the part of all our leaders out there.
General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, addressing the Joint Chiefs of Staff just before Desert Storm
Au contraire.
If it isn't cowardice, what is it? And what credibility would Gov. Palin have now? I love her personally (a backwoods person like me), but I think she crashed and burned running from leftist death threats.
The Warrior Palin met her match: death threats from the Democrat/media/Communist/Soros/Obama complex. She blinked.
well the one thing that troubles me about Palin is this: you could not have scripted it any better for her had she gotten into the race and I certainly didn’t see it coming. Not after I thought Perry would take control of things before he collapsed in the debates.
Cain’s straw poll win in late September and meteoric rise in October shows that Palin was poised to enter in a powerful position. It was there. She enters the race and Cain would go nowhere....that’s a fact. But she sat it out.
I know she said it was a family/prayer decision, but knowing what we know about the Palins, those kids and Todd would have wanted her to enter the race, kick a$$, and take names. Something did not seem right. She seemed sad after she made this decision. Almost like the establishment was going to blackmail her or something.
2016 (if we still have a country) will be rough election year. Even if RINO Romney squeaks by, odds are he’ll be a very weak POTUS with no core beliefs. He might get primaried potentially by a Palin or DeMint, but damaged caused by him might still damage the party. The General Election challenger could be Andrew Cuomo, or, if the Democrats felt really brave, running Obama again!
Excellent question. Perhaps it would be useful to first identify the characteristics of an ideal President, then see who is closest. A starter set in no particular order: 1. Successful executive experience running large complex organizations; 2. Strong political skills and knowledge of how to get things done; 3. In depth knowledge of domestic issues and foreign affairs, with knowledge of history a plus; 4. Understanding and successful experience in economics, financial systems, business, and actually creating jobs and wealth; 5. ability to bring in grade-A talent for cabinet and other appointed offices; 6. clear program for reform of bloated schlerotic government and corrupt tax & control system; 7. clear program and philosophy for foreign affairs based on US interests; 8. appreciation of the US Constitution and limited, republican government; 9. relentless pursuit of renaissance of US economy and society, mostly by getting government out of the way; 10. belief in adult responsibility — not more dependency — as the solution to most of our problems; 11. military experience; 12. decisive, serious, mature; 13. ability to communicate, persuade, and lead the public; 14. honesty and integrity; 15. etc. Who measures up? I like Josh Bolton, if we are not tainting this with electability concerns; otherwise slim pickings.
Did you not see the Greta interview? She herself said the death threats were a factor. Also, there was the (unconfirmwed) report that one particular death threat triggered the decision not to run. No secret info here; you can find the same internet rumors I can. Palin is close-lipped, but she did mention this on the Greta interview.
Paul Ryan!
Let’s go with a Triumverate. Revolting Cat, Lazamtataz and Lazlo in PA. Can’t be worse than what we’re facing.
Me, but first I’d need a SCOTUS decision on the legality of a US citizen born on foreign soil (to an active duty serviceman) being allowed to run.
Sarah Palin.
That’s a good one. Don Rumsfeld with Paul Ryan for VP.
Death threats. But you may be right about the Establishment threatening her. Palin, loved by many true patriots (me included) is hated by ruling class trolls of both parties.

Dittos:
john bolton.
I am in commifornia and I will be writing in Sarah. It doesn’t matter who I vote for.
