TWO questions for Freepers who continue to support Cain
one man's opinion..

Posted on 11/29/2011 4:30:04 PM PST by ken5050

The Cain threads have been passionate and spirited. Many supporters of Cain here, cheered by the statement from his campaign, that he is continuing in the race, have already sent him more $$$, or promised that they will do so shortly.

I have TWO questions for these people:

Trust and varify. Would you consider this believing or not believing?

The Ghost of Duncan Hunter Past..I sure wish I had waited a few days when I donated to his campaign. The next day he announced he was withdrawing from the Presidential Race.

I am holding on to my money awhile longer this election cycle.

While I’m genetically disposed to dislike Aggies, ANY democrat Corp member is highly suspect to me. Don’t care what age they were.

That's the deal. There have probably been seven Aggie Corps of Cadets members who were Democrats since 1900 (hyperbole to make a point, people). Perry was one of them. That speaks volumes. Members of the Texas Republican party won't even support him. I don't see any strong Texas Tea Party support for him.

Either you believe Herman Cain ... or you don't.

It's possible to believe Cain some of the time and not to believe him other times.

I didn't believe Herman Cain when he said that one of the claims settled by the National Restaurant Association was based solely on Cain holding up his hand horizontally to indicate that the woman was about the same height as his wife.

Unless Cain said something like "you must be this tall to ride this ride," or there were other encounters or hand motions, the NRA wouldn't have settled a claim based on that hand motion. They certainly wouldn't have paid $35K or $45K at a time when nuisance lawsuits (not just claims preceding litigation) were being settled for much less. That claim would have been one of the 40% dismissed by the EEOC if the woman had filed a claim with the EEOC - a liberal government body designed to find discrimination and harassment anywhere it could.

There's more to that story than Herman Cain told us.

The answer to your very logical question is, with another question; “Will Palin hand some of those millions she raked in during her frivolous non campaign, over to Cain? Since her “followers” seemed not to care that she was not serious in the first place and that by sending her money, she would maybe decide to run out of a sense of duty to them.

And since most of those ex-Palin supporters now worship Cain, they think that by continuing to send him money, he will stay in, fight and win his case, because it seems that they still believe this recent woman to come forward is all just a plot against Cain and all that is righteous.

Sadly, they will learn this lesson the hard way, like they did with Palin.........Or will they?

I’m convinced that the MSM is stuck on this theme that Rick Perry can’t talk because they don’t want the Western White House to be in Paint Creek, Texas.

And the Perry opponents love to bring up Perry’s Democratic past.

That’s baloney and you know it - Texas was Democrat until the mid-80’s and there simply weren’t Republican primaries in many Texas counties before the late ‘70’s. (Our Democrats were more conservative than Northern Republicans, but they were Democrats until the Dems ran them off.)

My mother was one of the first Republican precinct judges in the very early ‘80’s in Henderson County. Her first year there were supposedly only 10 Republicans in her precinct, but people sneaked in the back door to vote for Reagan in the primary. One Baptist preacher was fired over that vote.

Remember Wayne Christian’s comments when he endorsed Perry:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2772684/posts

“”With that being said, after a quarter century in politics, Rick Perry’s record shines better than most. Of course he was once a Democrat and Republicans may criticize him for that.

“”However, the Governor is not the only Texan, who after entering into public service, experienced the Democratic Party’s dramatic shift away from principles consistent with rural, conservative values, and chose to do something about it — He became a Republican.

“”I was the first Republican from East Texas to enter the Texas House and remained the Republican with the most Democratic district in the Texas Legislature for three sessions. Many times folks in Republican circles are quite taken aback when I do not raise my hand when asked, “Who has always voted in a Republican primary?”

“”Fact is, as recently as a couple of decades ago, we had no Republican primary in my part of rural Texas.

“”Thus, Governor Perry, who entered state politics farther back than me, was courageous enough to take a stand early on and join other statesmen like Ronald Reagan and Phil Gramm in acknowledging that the Democratic Party had left their conservative beliefs behind.””

Seems you have a really poor memory. Palin will undoubtedly use those millions she took in two get other Republicans elected. She has done this in the past and like noon else in the party can do. I guess your PDS clouds your judgement.

Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.

I've met Herman Cain, spoke to him in a small group of 7 people for more than an hour, and I trust him.
I believe him, end of story.

I'm a genetic Texan who has lived in Atlanta for years. I've met Herman Cain on more than one occasion. That was the main reason I supported him. I have no problem with you believing him. He lost me with his unbelievable "this tall" explanation, his incompetence on foreign affairs (not everything he's said showed a lack of basic knowledge for an intelligent person, but some showed a lack of basic knowledge that a candidate for the Presidency should have), and his outrageous incompetence in selecting the people he's surrounded himself with as his core campaign staff.

I've listened to Herman Cain and Neal Boortz on the radio for years. It's always concerned me that Boortz gave 700% more details on domestic and international issues than Cain did. I assumed it was simply Cain's style to use his personality and not a lot of facts on his shows. From what I've seen the last several months, I now believe it's because Cain didn't know the facts past a shallow level and Boortz did.

I have no desire to sway your vote (I would know which way to sway it if I were so inclined). I just know that Cain's disappointed me and lost me on so many levels.

I'm not trying to change any minds either.
But I'm not a believer of Boortz, because he's too much into drugs.
Like I said earlier, either you trust Cain, or you don't. I do.

Yup. To understand what is happening to Herman Cain, you have to understand that Obama wants to win the election before it begins.

I have TWO questions for these people:

What do you mean by "THESE PEOPLE"? Are they third class citizens, illegal aliens, degenerates, black folks?

Personally I find that statement offensive........

But to answer your question, you obviously can't count by your next statement:

1. Did you consider waiting a few days to make sure that he doesn't drop out of the race?

2. If you make a contribution, and Cain does drop out in a few days, do you expect that he will return your contribution?

#3 Will you feel cheated/disappointed if he doesn't return it?

#4 Will you ask for it back?

And to answer all your stupid questions:

#1......NO

#2.....NO

#3.....NO

#4.....NO

My question to you is, did you ask the McCain campaign for a refund of your campaign contributions?????

Election cycles sure bring out the stupid in people.........

Excuse me? You mean as in his often mixed and changing views on legalization, or you claiming Boortz is a drug user? Legal or illegal?

And you, sir, are an ass..

You've been around here almost as long as I have, and it is comments like yours that will ultimately end up ruining this place.

We have become determined to slander, revile, attack, anyone who would DARE to question, or wonder about , a particular coandidate.

My post was respectful of Cain, as indeed, ALL my posts about him have been. I admire the man. Yet you choose to construe my use of the phrase "these people" into something offensive? Well, whatever works for you, lets you gets your jollies off. We just love to eat our own, we conservatives.....we are soooo pure....we need to be..well..you need to be, obviously...it amazing that we ever manage ton win an election..we'd rather turn on each other.

Normally I wouldn't even bother to waste the time replyign to such a close-minded, narrw person such a yourself, but I do hope you write back AFTR Cain drops out...

Some are supporting Cain finanacially who is not their first choice but want to see him continue in the race for other reasons. It’s just a good thing he remain as long as possible....you can bet BO would prefer he step down...and the Demos as well....but for our side it’s just good he stay as long as possible...regardless if more comes out or not.

Your not so suttle remarks about Cains situation gives one pause...sounds like your projecting what Obama wants to see among voters. There are no trucks or trees in this race.

Cains a good man and he’s up against the political climate that is in this election. Nothing more. He’s so far held his own even if at times on slippery ground.

Build up the man for what he’s endured in a Presidential race against the ‘machine’ which not many would have endured this far....it’s happpened before and no doubt will occur in other races.

I can't get inspired.

Try looking at where the country is.. and with that what needs to be done.. instead of if or not a candidate fits your ideal.

If this country falls may of the "issues" won't mean squat...

That should at least give you a fresh perspective.
