Gallup: Obama, Clinton are most admired in 2011

By Michael A. Memoli December 27, 2011 Is there any wonder why some want to see this as a presidential ticket next year? President Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton were named the Most Admired Man and woman in the world in 2011, according to a Gallup survey.

Seventeen percent of Americans named Clinton, the top choice by 10 percentage points over Oprah Winfrey. Clinton, the secretary of State and former first lady, has now been the most admired woman in the poll a record 16 times; Gallup began asking Americans to name the person they most admire in 1946.

Sarah Palin was the choice of 4%, just behind First Lady Michelle Obama. Last year, 12% identified Palin as the most admired woman.

Obama was mentioned by 17% of those surveyed, well ahead of former Presidents George W. Bush (3%) and Bill Clinton (2%). GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich was named by 1%, as was would-be candidate Donald Trump and religious leaders Pope Benedict XVI and Thomas Monson.

That is soooooo ridiculous. Like I’ve been saying, polls are being used as mind benders.

Yeah, they’re great, Obama can’t lose. If I were him, I wouldn’t even bother campaigning.

The aholes have been pushing opinions for years, and relying on the general ignorance of the population.

When I read nonsense like this, I always wonder how the question was phrased. I’m guessing something like, “Who do you admire more, President Obama or Hillary Clinton?”

The only reason these two dirtbags came out first is because Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber weren’t on the list.

One of two facts emerge. Either the sample set is some bizarre sub set of Americans, OR, we are finished as a nation.

I fear it is a somewhat skewed set of respondents, AND we are pretty much at the end of the line, culturally and politically.

Some years ago I was checking out old newspaper articles for a project. Ran across an article stating that Richard Nixon was the most admired person in the US. Followed by the Pope and Elvis.

Just proves how worthless polls are now adays. They are just more agitprop—to form “perceptions” in the gullible masses.

I don’t buy it for a minute. They are both disgusting people.
