People all over the world are reporting they are hearing strange sounds and recording them on video. A compilation of these separate incidents has been uploaded to YouTube, and one fact is chillingly clear.
Whatever these unearthly noises are, they all sound similar, and are, so far, unexplained.
It's easy to say that these strange sounds, sometimes extremely loud, and other times seemingly far off, are the product of a hoax.
But their similarity to each other, and the fact they have been recorded in so many diverse areas of the world, leads one to believe that such a hoax is impossible to coordinate.
In the past, supernatural events, such as UFO sightings, have been largely visual in nature and reported as such. It's only in the last few weeks that this phenomenon of strange sounds has begun to be reported and discussed.
Commenters on the video, numbering in the thousands, are in three basic camps; those who scoff and explain it away as a hoax; those who attribute the weird noises to Hollywood movie soundtracks; and those who claim to have heard the noises themselves.
It is this latter group which is claiming that the strange sounds are similar to each other and therefore not a natural occurrence.
Here's the video:

What do you think? How can this new, spooky phenomenon be explained?
Please leave a comment below.
I was reading about this and listening to some of these yesterday. I dismissed them as hoax as well until I saw 2ndVet post today.
I would hold up FR sources as the gold standard in news at this point. You could publish this stuff on ABC or the other networks and I’d come here for verification.
FR was the only source of reliable news coming out of Syria three years ago when Bashir Assad was driven out of Damascus.
I have no comment on the sources of the noise, but if multiple established Freepers like 2ndVet are reporting on it, I would tend to think its not a hoax.
Only during the day? Hmmmmmm.
LOL ... stealing this ... :-)
[I'm watching that whole recorded series right now]....LOL
They're not. I met one in Quintana Roo.
I live in the suburbs. I was sitting in my kitchen around 8-9 PM and I heard the noise, it was loud and I wondered what was happening.
I couldn’t see anything, but it seemed above and it gave me the willies. I thought “should I be scared? What was that”?
After it stopped I just did what most do and decided it must have been a very high aircraft or something.
After seeing this today, I am no longer sure what it was.
you are 100% correct, sir!
This is probably the same phenomenon that caused the windshield pitting scare of a decade ago. All of a sudden people actually looked at their windshields, noticed previously overlooked pitting and bought into a weird conspiracy theory.
I’ll bet that the sounds have always been there but people are actively listening now.

BUT...
Despite three Freepers chiming in, it could just be coincidence. As others have pointed out, the combined video on youtube reuses audio for different locations (bird chirps are exactly the same at different points in the video). Moreover, not one camera person speaks. You’d expect to hear, “Did you hear that? I’m outside taping this weird noise in Kansas. Listen. Listen. There it goes again. Kind of a humming sound.” Etc.
But there is NONE of that. That alone marks it as BS in my book. People can’t help but narrate their videos.
Last evening I was in my back office with the door open. A cool front moved through. At one point I did heard such a strange sound that I stopped to take notice. It was a ethereal type howling sound. It lasted for about 30 seconds. I never heard anything like it before.
Now, whatever it was, I attribute it to the a natural affect of the front moving through. These type of natural sound effects my be getting widespread notice because of youtube, causing people like myself to comment upon them, making it seem more unusual than it is
If this wasn't put on youtube, etc, then I would likely have forgotten about it in a week and made nothing of it.
The Alberta Canada footage is different from the others though. There are reactions of the three people in the video.
But we do have two FReepers on this thread who have heard this.
It’s the sound of Mitt Romney’s flip-flopping.
It’s the founding fathers spinning in their graves.
I’ve been hearing that sound, but assumed it was trucks on a nearby highway.
Somebody is slant drilling Gulf oil right under where you live.
Shhhh... It’s a secret so they won’t be shut down.
They are not extinct.
They just left. A little early....
Hello 2ndVet
Found this on YouTube. This is video footage from a baseball game broadcast at prime time. Commentary from the crew announcing the game included in the clip.

Not a hoax.
Does it come from the same direction?
“They” are here! We are being visited again.
They are musical tones, and we need some mathematicians and some music geniuses to decipher what they’re trying to tell us.
We heard them before...
