Obama’s “approval” numbers are a bogus mirage supported by White guilt and slanted surveys

Your nightly news won’t lead with this story.

Even at just 47%, there are no numbers to support Barack Obama’s approval ratings. It is clear that those responding to questions about Obama’s favorability are just not ready to say they don’t approve of him because he is Black.

In any number of categories and measurements “….Obama has experienced sharp drops in support. These black and white bottom lines simply do not support Obama’s 47% approval rating.

There are only two ways to view his near fifty percent approval rating: either a significant number of poll respondents are not admitting they don’t approve of Obama or this number has become as meaningless as the “Congressional generic preference” spread.

It is not possible

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll says less than 10 percent of Americans believe The Washington Post, ABC the mainstream media and the DNC’s lies about the “strong economic recovery” we are experiencing. The feeling that, “Something is up and ‘It ain’t good’” supported …..Fox News poll showing 56% of us are pessimistic about the economy.

WP-ABC also found less than 1 person in 8 respondents say Obama has accomplished a great deal. To get this dismally low number means only about a quarter of Democrats have to believe he has been productive. Since virtually no Republicans (who are the majority of registered voters) feel that way

how does this add up to a 47% approval rating overall? Obama’s real approval rating among White respondents has to be markedly lower than being reported. Whites who feel guilty about “not approving” of Obama are not telling the truth, that’s how.

Less than honest responses

In 2008 Barack Obama lost the White vote by just 12 points White guilt was afoot, and White guilt is evaporating…..

Even a 47% approval rating for Obama doesn't make sense with all of the support he has lost among his core groups.

I still think in the end, Obama will get the “devil you know” vote.

47%??? Are you kidding? I guess the 47% were the black voters who were polled in this poll. Either that, or it was Marxists, gay people or Hollywood libs. Or all of them.

The media keeps pushing the ‘Happy Times Are Here Again’ meme...but nobody is buying it.

NOBODY with an ounce of sense is buying his ‘republicans didn’t give me enough time’ nonsense on the pipeline.

He’s lost middle America, and he knows it.

The pipeline decision shows that he has all but surrendered several midwest states, which went his way last time.

His presence at Disney the very next day shows that once again, this race will likely come down to OH, PA, and FL.

I am hopeful...I do know that Newt would make him look like a child in a debate setting...and the allegedly ‘cool’ Obama would not come off well....one can dream.

Yeah, that's what conservatives said in 2008 and yet he won the election by about the margin the polls said he would.

Sorry, the American public (such that it is) is not the same as it was even a few years ago. 47% pay no federal income taxes, record numbers rely on government handouts, people without jobs are increasingly more concerned about keeping their gravy train of freebies going rather than elect someone who can actually improve the economy.

Obama will get a minimum of 45% of the vote, and probably closer to 50%. Sad to say, but it is what it is. 47% is probably right about where he is right now and it wouldn't surprise me if it is a bit higher.

What in the H*ll is “White guilt!” Who invented that nonsensical concept? The only people feeling guilty are homosexual journalists!

His O-liness is sounding tired. I’ve listened to parts of about 800 speeches he has given since January 1 of 2012.
He sounds like he can hardly get through them.
By the time September/October comes around he might have to sit down for some of debates.
That is if he doesn’t chicken out on debating.
Especially, after several hundred rounds of whack-O-commie mole with I suspect Gingrich.
The VP debates could be interesting, too.
Especially, if someone like a West is the VP challenger.
Historically, Ibama’s numbers indicate he is finished.

Many of the people who voted for Obama don't care if he accomplishes anything or not. It is sufficient that he simply BE the First Black President, and they can feel smug knowing that they put him there.

Whether the novelty lingers in the next election, who knows? The media and pop culture are more than happy to present him as a likeable, slightly left-of-center fellow who's trying to do the right thing. And they're more than happy to paint Romney as unfashionable white and unfashionably rich, Newt as a lecherous angry hypocritical bully, Santorum as a homophobic religious nut, and Ron Paul as a crazy old man.

FDR won a second term in the midst of the Depression he helped to prolong. He won a 3rd term after he had been in charge of the worst economy in history for 8 years. Then he won a 4th term toward the tail end of World War II. He'd be in the middle of his 20th term today if he hadn't passed away.

Cute little cartoon in National Review a while back:
Door-to-Door opinion taker says to man at the door:
"Who is the greatest person alive today, Barak or Michelle?"

Right after we moved to Penn, I went to vote in the presidential, (GWB’s first term). We hadn’t changed the tags on the pickup yet, so I still had Texas Truck tags. A pollster started to walk up to me with a clipboard to ask how I was going to vote, saw the tags and turned away.
