I don't have anything for if they're mutants too. Just double down on ammo. It's not like it's going to get any cheaper.
Back in the '90s, I bought enough .22 plinking ammo to last the rest of my life, and I'm glad I did. I paid less than 1/3 of what they want for it today.

Double down on ammo. ;)
That's my solution to lots of problems.

Not quite so simple, even though that's the basic idea.
How often do you inventory it, check flashlight batteries, expiration dates on meds?
I inventory mine on the 1st of every month.
But I think the topic deserves a thread of it's own, so we can hear what people put in theirs, and how they manage it.

Food, water, ammo, medicines, seeds, radios, and diesel fuel. I'm set for a year at least if I don't get killed by roving hoards of diversity.

So from your sarcasm I take it you think ‘prepping’ is a waste of time. good for you
history proves you wrong but each to their own

No serious “Prepper” would allow their preparations to be known by the whole world.

"penny unspent is two pennies earned" Given taxation, in effect money isn't free. It costs two dollars to buy one dollar.

Have you ever really tested your food? I did and was very surprised at how fast it disappears.

There might be times when bug out is the only option and you have no other choice.
But in general, I tend to think bug out is a bad choice.
You and 3 million other people will be out there on the roads, probably not moving very fast if at all, each and every one in bug-out zombie mode.

"No serious Prepper would allow their preparations to be known by the whole world." EGGSactly Batman.
Myself my only "preparing" is the Tater Salad System.
1. Buy a Helmet.
2. Put on the Damn Helmet.

I’m not a DOOMSDAY preppar. I do take prudent preparations for a possible breakdown of societal institutions. Do you want to put your family’s existance totally in the hands of the Government? Especially this Government? If there was a breakdown the low life in the cities would be looking to take what the Government could no longer provide to them...

Considering my primary survival threat (outside of government) is tornados and severe weather events, I may not have a choice about bugging out.
But if any structure on the property is sound, I'll shelter in place.
Oh, btw, roads and shelters are for targets. I can be camped in the woods less than 10 minutes of walking from my place.
It helps to have grown up in the area and know every nook and cranny of it. ;)

I notice in the previews for this show that the preppers they show mention every form of disaster *except* for economic collapse, while virtually all the many preppers I know are almost universally most concerned about preparing for an economic disaster.
This alone suggests to me that "Doomsday Preppers" is going to be off-base (and probably deliberately so).

Tell me about it. I just bought some more .22 ammo. I have the same box of 525 bullets I bought 5 years ago, and it was $10.00 cheaper. I got 10,000 rounds plus or minus 1,000. Looking to stock up to 25,000. I have most of my weapons at .22 and it makes it easier to buy ammo since they all take the same.
Too bad about the others I lost in that tragic boat mishap.
