Hi all. I think this is my first vanity. I'm hoping you all don't mind, but I'm asking for prayers for myself. I'm having surgery on Monday, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't absolutely terrified. The surgery is a core decompression of the femural head in my right hip. I have Avascular Necrosis in both hips, likely due to a lifetime of taking Steroids for Asthma.
I have 3 daughters, and I'm so afraid of something happening to me. My respiratory history is awful, and both my parents died young, and it all just makes me scared. Luckily, my husband is home, and he has been given leave to care for me post-operatively for the first two weeks. I will be unable to bear weight on the leg for 8 weeks, but my awesome Marine Corps family is already rallying to help.
Everyone here is always so generous in offering prayers and support, so I was hoping I could ask for some. Thanks so much in advance.
Prayers for your successful surgery and for a full and speedy recovery.
Prayers up, may the Lord bless and protect you and guide your caretakers.
prayers lifted for you right now! Please Lord, rain down Your comfort, mercy and grace on this daughter who beseeches You! Be with her in her time of need, and give her confidence that this surgery will go very well. Bless the surgeons and caregivers around her; bless her family as they wait and care for her. Thank you, Lord! Amen!
Have faith and you will be fine.
I will remember you tonight in my prayers.
My prayers are with you. Hope you have help once you get home from the hospital. I will pray you have a speedy recovery.
I put my prayers with the others on this thread and lift you up to our Lord in prayer. Dear Father God, we come before you in praise and worship. Thank you for allowing us to make our requests known to you, to ask you for our needs and wants. We thank you and praise you for caring about us, and about every detail of our lives. I lift up USMCWife6869 and ask that you calm her heart and give her your peace that passes all understanding. Please put your big arms around her and let her know just how much you love her and are in control of this situation. We ask that you heal her and restore her to her family. Please guide the doctors and other medical personnel as she goes through this surgery Monday and let it go smoothly and just as it should. We love you and praise you for answering our prayer, and it is in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Thank you Maria. It really is amazing. The grace of God is awe inspiring and comforting. My condolences on your husband. I don’t have any idea how I would get by with out my wife. We just have to believe in the Resurrection and understand they are in a far better place. I know my mom is happy to be reunited with her husband. Not a doubt in my mind. Last saturday mom was on a ventilator after taking a turn for the worse. ICU tried everything. She fought hard at our urging. After 2 hours of this my wife and I whispered in her ear she was allowed to join her husband and she flat lined in less than 2 seconds. ICU Nurse said she had goose bumps and freaked out. Was amazing.
Went to the funeral home today and expected to have a closed casket viewing. It wasnt needed. She was beautiful. Very talented folks made her look like she was simply sleeping. Her obit described her as as a prayer warrior and student of the Bible. It would have made her proud.
I am well blessed.
Prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Please keep us informed.
