An up and down night. Each one of the candidates tried their best attacks and both Santorum and Romney were on the defensive at least some of the night. Who won?
actually that was one of the better things Romney said
Newt won the debate.

Newt would have won decisively if he would have used a better single word to describe himself. Cheerful ????

Newt was able to stay above the “lost in the details” fray and childish bickering tween Rick and Mitt, which over shadowed any + they may have had. Newt came out looking more Presidential and in control.
Guess we all see it differently.
Newt answered the question and then Romney went into a planned closing speech, and looked angry. For what reason?
Santorum also changed the topic to follow Mitt.
Gingrich won that answer for me.

I thought Rick Santorum did quite well in view of mean spirited Romney, Ron Paul’s dirty little jabs, and a narrator who was out for his scalp. But over all, I Was proud of Newt Gingrich, and thought he actually won the debate.
I think he chose the word to counter the opinion that people have that he is angry and bitter.

I have to go with Newt. Rick was a little nervous, and lacked the command Newt had. Romney comes off as a plastic and routine, having twitches of excited emphasis at the end of each answer. Mind you, this is the only debate I’ve watched, and I only caught the last two-thirds of it.
Any of them, including Ron Paul, would be infinitely better for this nation than Obama, especially Newt.
