Marco Rubio endorses Mitt Romney (RINO Spring migration continues)

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio endorsed Mitt Romney for president Tuesday night on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News.

"I am gonna endorse Mitt Romney. He offers such a start contrast to the president's record," the senator said.

"I have zero doubt in my mind: No. 1 that he will govern as a conservative, and No. 2 that he will be head and shoulders above the president in the White House right now."

On rumors he's on the short list to be vice president, Rubio said,"I don't believe I'm going to be asked ... that's not what I want."

Come on, let’s not be turning on each other.

If you have a suggestion how to prevent Romney from winning at this point, share it with us and let’s try to make it happen.

The circular firing squad thing has just about run its course.

The presidential election is now only 221 days away.

Obama needs to be defeated.

It’s important.

Can you “die hard” conservatives really say that Romney would be just as bad as Romney?

Yes, we "die hards" recognize that truth. We also recognize that fear makes people do self-destructive things. You already know this is true in everyday life. THINK ABOUT IT. People make bad decisions when they're frightened, the same as they make bad decisions when they're angry.

While this wild fear has people in a perpetual state of panic contemplating four more years of Obama, that same fear absolutly roadblocks any ability to contemplate what would happen if Romney won. Not for one instant do they contemplate that scenario. They don't want to -- they cannot, and they will not. Their fear prevents them from it.

Once upon a time we thought nobody could possibly be worse than Clinton, and the idea of Hillary as President was a joke. We had eight years of a "compassionate" statist big government Republican. Next thing we know, Hillary is a viable contender -- could it be, WORSE than Bill Clinton, or even Al Gore! YIKES! ANYBODY BUT HILLARY! It was sheer panic.

We got our wish: we got Obama. And now, we can't imagine anything worse than Obama. I got news for you. If Romney wins, the Democrat to follow him will make Obama look like a boy scout. DON'T WE EVER LEARN???

Romney will weaken and hurt and damage MORE THAN OBAMA everything that is good about this country, because he will be doing it as a "conservative" Republican. Americams can fight a President Obama.

Americams will be absoluely, completely hogtied when it comes to fighting the same freedom-crushing statism -- nationalized health care (truly, the END of American individual freedom if it happened), Federal ham-fisted manipulation of everything from abortion to education, and from transportation to energy to health insurance -- that we could and WOULD fight via Congress in Obama.

Yes, Virginia, Romney really would be just as bad as Obama. Sorry.

1) No, this is how we send people to Washington to fight the beast that is Government, but as soon as they arrive they get comfy and forget their purpose and the trust placed in them. Rubio may not be a RINO, but damn if he is going to insult me with this nonsense about Romney being conservative..don’t patronize the grassroots so you can take seat on the bandwagon. 2) I challenge you to debate Romney’s record and if healthcare mandates aren’t socialist..what is?

N00b was my being kind. Troll was more like it. Unless management has changed its stance, this website is not going to be used for pimping lying, megalomaniacal Socialist frauds like Slick Willard.

Crist? You mean the flaming homo that dumped the Republican party to run as an independent?

Didn't realize that you thought that to be true conservatism...

My suggestion is the same as it has been since the start of the primaries. All Conservatives need to get behind Santorum.

Try this: If you ever led a 3rd Party, you would be its only member.

Then call him/her a troll.

Being new doesn’t make your opinion invalid.

We were all new once.

I’d like it if Santorum were to redact the VP thing, by going after Romney now without quarter.

Go for broke.

Make it about Romney. Don’t even leave open the possibility of a VP spot - Rubio will probably get it anyway.

Offend Romney. Insult him. Call him a socialist flip-flopper. Completely burn the VP candidate bridge, and go for broke.

Santorum is playing bean-bag. Like every other Republican has been for the last 20 years.

Romney’s playing “The Prince”.

Most of us don’t like that - but it wins.

hope Marco gets his chance....

people its time to come in from the rain....it is what it is.....

many here would never accept a Christie...or a Rudy...or Jeb...or even Cain...or Palin....

something "wrong" with each of them apparently to some freepers...

so now we have Romney....plenty wrong with him except one big thing: he's not obama....

Ted Nugent who I admire more than most politicians also endorsed Romney and the list grows....

lets get our act together and defeat the marxist in chief in November....

I like punks. They flip the bird to the ‘powers that be’ and question the ‘accepted knowledge’ (ie: think for themselves instead of accepting the groupthink).

And that’s a good thing.

The nuts don’t fall from the Romney tree..forget the conservatives, we’re gonna beat Obama with a liberal, give us a damn break by pretending Romney has a chance or that you Romney zombies have not one damn shred of evidence to use Romney & Conservative in the same sentence. They are mutually exclusive.

Defeating Obama is the important thing now!

Be careful! A lot of Freepers seem willing to throw just about any conservative under the bus if they deviate from "bedrock" principles. Ronnie Reagan's "Big Tent" has shrunk to a small outhouse.

“He’s not obama....”.

****

No, but Romney is a reasonably close facsimile.

Romney would not be an improvement over Obama.

Had these Freerepublic been around in the 80’s, some people here would have considered Ronald Reagan a RINO..

Romney would not have assured the Russians he would be able to destroy our defenses after the election.

Romney is a whole lot better than Obama.

In a million ways.

It’s ridiculous to even consider Obama as an alternative.

No offense, but it’s absurd.

We need to win. With whomever we end up with.

God help us.

I think God will help us when we do what's right. It's right to reject Romney just as soundly as we reject Obama. You, did you ever think you'd be voting FOR a guy who used his office to make cheap on-demand tax-subsidized abortions? YOU there, you who think you "have no choice," did you ever think you'd be voting FOR a guy who used his political office to force government-sactioned health insurance on citizens? Did you ever think you'd be voting FOR a guy who used his political office to endorse and encourage open homosexuality -- indeed, to punish any resistance to it -- in free citizens' schools and workplaces?

You want God to help us, reject what you know is wrong and face the consequences, as they will be GENTLER than voting for an agent of ALL THAT GOD DESPISES.

I agree.

Nukes in the hands of Obama’s Marxist and Muslim friends means that we all get vaporized, born and unborn, gay and straight, neighborhood watchmen and gang-bangers alike!
