I saw it just now. IMHO, his endorsement was all about party unity since the party can sure use it from a conservative icon.

Truth Marco is porobably right. Newt and Santo are not going anywhere, its pretty much over.

When are we going to learn that the Republican party is no longer conservative, if indeed it ever really was?

We need a new party, a truly conservative party. Let the Republican party wither and die on the vine.

He should have endorsed someone before the FL Primary.

Have another beer Marco, and leave the thinking to real conservatives.

We’re well aware of who Romney is and what can be expected from him if he won the WH. Thanks, but you’re endorsement means zilch.

At this point, who else should he support? I despise Romney, but the reality is, it’s him or obumma

"I have zero doubt in my mind: No. 1 that he will govern as a conservative, and No. 2 that he will be head and shoulders above the president in the White House right now."

Sheesh...the standard GOPe talking points/mantra. Isn't this similar to what DeMint said in his Rombama endorsement?

They've all memorized their catch phrase.

Milt govern like a conservative? That's funny, Marco.

Boy, he really went out on a limb there, didn’t he? He didn’t make an endorsement earlier when it could have held more weight; he waited until Romney is starting to seem more and more inevitable and endorses him. The establishment is uniting around “their” guy, and everyone is getting in line.

To those that support Romney, I have a question. What in his record would indicate that he would govern as a conservative? Please, do not give me his rhetoric or say that he would be better than Obama.

Yawn.

This election has been lost for months now. We systematically destroyed every single declared candidate, and the obvious survivor all along was Romney.

Sucks that it has played out exactly as I figured it would, but we decided we hated each other more than we hated Obama.

Now we have a squishy moderate that absolutely no one likes to be our standard bearer against the worst President in history.

It took a lot of work for us to find a candidate who could lose to this man by a landslide, but the GOP got 'er done. Great work guys.

Wake me up when the nightmare is over, if we still have a country to wake up to.

I don’t care who backs Romney. My mind has been made up that I will not vote for him. He doesn’t even care about the middle of the country and the south. After wins in Florida and Arizona, he abandoned the south. The Guy is a example of all that is wrong with the GOP. Everyday the constitution party looks like a better option for 2012 for me since Romney is going to be force fed down people’s throats. Understand that Romney, along with Huntsman, Paul, and Perry, was one of the candidates I could absolutely never vote for. And since he is leading the race and might win. Nightmare scenario. I will do what is in my best interest.

Sorry, Marco. I’m not putting my head beneath that guillotine even if there is red velvet cake tempting me on the other side.

Romney can get all the endorsements that he wants, but he still can’t convince me that the cesspool of his record doesn’t stink. I will not vote for him.

A parody, written to the tune of "Rhinestone Cowboy" with apologies to Glen Campbell and Larry Weiss. I know it's bad, but I had to do it. ;-)
RINO Nightmare

I've been votin' for Repubs so long
singin' the same old song
I know every political hack here in D.C.
where hustle's the name of the game
and nice guys get washed away like the snow and the rain

There's been a load of compromisin'
on the road to my horizon
but I'm not gonna vote for the one anointed by the R N C

It's a RINO nightmare
ridin' in on a wave started by that jerk named Karl Rove

It's a RINO nightmare
getting threats and bad stuff from people I don't even know
and Push Polls comin' over the phone...

Great thread. There are a whole bunch of people with 2004 sign-on dates who are suddenly supporting Mittens, and someone actually has the gall to have a “I support Mitt” tagline.

No Romney. Ever. And I’m NOT changing my mind.

hope Marco gets his chance....

people its time to come in from the rain....it is what it is.....

many here would never accept a Christie...or a Rudy...or Jeb...or even Cain...or Palin....

something "wrong" with each of them apparently to some freepers...

so now we have Romney....plenty wrong with him except one big thing: he's not obama....

Ted Nugent who I admire more than most politicians also endorsed Romney and the list grows....

lets get our act together and defeat the marxist in chief in November....

Republicans don’t have a candidate yet, and it’s not too late.

Today Mark Levin was quoting a poll showing that Romney is tanking.

Liberal Republicans don’t win. Many in the base stayed home when McCain was the nominee, & McCain lost by a LOT, and I fear we will experience the same deja vu if Romney gets the nod.

Again, it’s not too late. We canNOT vote for Romney in the primaries.
