Mark Levin: Paul Ryan says to rally around Romney, but why should I? Just because he said so?
the Right Scoop ^ | March 31st, 2012 | Staff

Posted on 04/01/2012 2:03:46 PM PDT by Sun

It’s very painful to watch all these politicians – even some who are conservatives, don’t get me wrong, but they’re politicians nonetheless – that we all have to rally around, rally around…

Let me tell you something. We have to rally around the Constitution. We have to rally around our children and grandchildren. We have to rally around principles, tried and true principles based on human experience. This isn’t about rallying around some politician. It’s about fighting for our country, taking our country back. This is the process.

But to hear some of these numbskulls who think they’re so smart tell us “yeah there’ve been some people out there who’ve really divided us“. Well then I guess we shouldn’t have a primary! I guess we shouldn’t look at anybody’s record! I guess we should just say ‘John McCain you’re it, Bob Dole you’re it, another Bush you’re it, eh Romney you’re it, this one’s it‘, why do we go through the process? In other words that’s just about as stupid as you can to get to make comments like that.

He goes on to suggest that just because Paul Ryan says to rally around Romney, doesn’t make him want to change his mind.

“I was a Perry supporter, then Newt, I will walk over broken glass to vote for the Republican nominee that runs against obama!”

This is NOT just about getting Obama out of office. This is about forcing the GOP to respect its base. IF you want to continue to let the smoky back room pick who represents you...then vote for Romney.

IF you want to get control of the GOP. RUFUSE to back Romney AND MAKE IT KNOWN. Don’t support ANY candidate for other offices that show “party unity” and supports Romney - Paul Ryan is toast in my opinion. This is a WAR. To win it, we must start within our supposed party for conservatives. IF we cannot secure the control of the GOP, then we must consider leaving it.

IF conservative control of the GOP doesn’t matter to you, then crawl over broken glass. But don’t complain in the future when you find you have wasted your time...even IF Romney should win the general election.

If I read this correctly you would rater have obama for another 4 years. Sorry but that does not compute for me. We are in a war here and obama MUST FALL!

“If I read this correctly you would rater have obama for another 4 years.”

NO that isn’t what I’m saying. I don’t want Obama, but I don’t see Romney as an improvement. He is not conservative, he is a Northeastern Liberal RINO, plus he is a prominent member of a, IMO, dangerous cult that seeks to rule in the USA. Romney is NO BETTER THAN OBAMA.

Also, he won’t beat Obama because he isn’t that different from him.

A vote for Romney is a vote for Obama. Plus, it is a vote for a dismal future. IF conservatism matters to you, then you won’t support a moron picked by the guys in the backroom. Only a dedicated uprising of the GOP base REFUSING to support Romeny NOW...AND BE CLEAR ABOUT IT...may cause the party elites to wake up.

This old mantra of “unite behind the winner” has gotten old and this “principled conservative” won’t sing it anymore.

My message to the GOP establishment is that they must stop picking candidates. No one except GOP liberals (AKA “moderates”) and Mormons want Romney elected. He is the wrong man, at the wrong time, and will always be so.

Until folks stop settling for what they perceive as the “lesser of two evils” and insist on a decent candidate we can vote for rather than merely vote against Obama...we are wasting our time.

The time has come for a “civil war” in the GOP. Either we become truly conservative, or the truly conservatives need to leave or force the liberals to do so.

“If Romney is the nominee, I will reluctantly vote for him. The alternative is too horrible.”

That is a bridge too far because it rests on a false assumption to Romney is any better than Obama. He is not. They both are worthless and not deserving of any support.

Voting for Romney will just ensure that:

(1) We will lose the election anyway
(2) The RINO establishment will continue to foist Romneys on us instead of true conservatives.

Time to tell the RNC establishment that they don’t own the party. IF they keep pushing Romney like candidates, we won’t back them.

“Sarah is right! Rush is Right, Mark Levin is right! Let’s not give up. ..”

That’s right, let’s not give up. Rick energizes people; Mitt does NOT!

“A RINO will be better than a dictator.”

Oh, definitely! At least as we hit the iceberg, it will be more gently and death will come more from the icy waters in a peaceful way, instead of all that jarring impact.

“I like government mandates!”
- Mitt Romney

Mark Levin said that Santorum was the most conservative senator in the last 50 years.

[Rick energizes people; Mitt does NOT!]

You mean like he “energized people” last night in Wi, DC and MD? And don't forget, that Santo polled under 2% his entire first 10 months of the primary. Obviously, if you believe that this is a sign of “energy”, then you have a long way to go in regards to understanding politics.

And Romney has taken over 58% of the delegates to date, so he has been “energizing” somebody.

Mark Levin is full of it. The statistics and actual record prove otherwise. Santorum is ranked well below several past and current Senators.

People with political saavy know how important pro-Constitution judges/justices are, and even people without political saavy should know it now, based on what’s going on the the SCOTUS re: Obama”care.”

At the time, I sent Santorum an email about being disappointed that he didn’t endorse Toomey.

BUT when I found out it was because he thought that Specter would have a better chance of winning than Toomey, and he wanted the Republicans to have the majority so they would have control of the Judicial Committee, I understood Santorum’s logic. Controlling the Judicial Committee is HUGE, because activist judges can destroy our Constitution and have already harmed it tremendously.

When the Dems have control of the Judicial Committee, they wouldn’t allow many of Bush’s conservative judicial picks to go to the floor for an up, or down, vote. And libDems especially do this if it is a conservative minority, like Estrada.

Yes, Rick energizes people, even when he is outspent 10-1.

If you did your research, you would see the GOP establishment fixes to help Romney, including in Wisconsin.

About your buddy, Romney:

“Romney insists on trying to destroy Newt Gingrich over the same false, trumped-up ethics charges just like Democrats did. He’s acting exactly like a power hungry Democrat who is willing to say anything to get elected ..”

excerpt http://www.therightscoop.com/new-romney-ad-smears-newt-over-old-ethics-charges/

Romney joins the Dems, with their trumped up charges, even though Newt was vindicated.
