Now that the dust is settling in the Republican candidate stakes, it looks like Mitt will be our nominee. And I’m fine with that. Really. I am.

After four years of President Downgrade, we will need to do some fast damage control if we hope to regain even a bit of our former standing in the world community. With that in mind, I have several suggestions for actions President Romney can take very soon after he is sworn in:

1.Contact someone in England and suggest that, because of the very special relationship that exists between the two countries, we’d really love to have that bust of Churchill back and proudly displayed in the White House.

2.Issue an invitation to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to a White House state dinner in his honor. Allow him to dine with the guests.

3.Ditto the Dalai Lama. Allow him to enter and exit by the front door.

4.Make sure there is a fully-staffed Protocol office, and that they actually know what they are doing regarding things like vetting guests at state dinners and choosing special gifts for foreign dignitaries...

Thanks! Pass the word... “Nuts!” for President! And to the rest: may the odds ever be in their favor...

Because I’m pretty sure the country will not survive four more years of Obama.

If you think Romney is our redeemer, please tell me which of his plans for supporting abortion, supporting homosexuality, carbon taxation, nationalization of industry, nationalization of health-care, nationalization of banking, increasing taxes, and increasing government spending will most likely save America from ruin?

Or, are you putting all of your chips on the table over the hope that he will nominate a conservative SC justice or two, based on what?

Personally, IMO, we've already waited way too long in drawing a line.

Guess I'd rather go down fighting, even with a RINO like Romney, rather than throw in the towel and allow another for years of The Barack & Michelle Show, brought to us by Soros & Alinsky.

Mitt is a socialist, liberal democrat infiltrator who used his money to trash and spend his way to the top.

And when Romney continues the deconstruction, with GOP acquiescence? Who would be reconsidering then?

Four years of Romney would be no different on judges, if his past record is an indication.

“I’m starting to understand Churchill’s dilemma when he had to ally himself with Stalin to stop Hitler.”

I’m thinking it is more like “Hey, vote for Mussolini - at least he’s no Hitler”.

Dear FRiend, Do not think that we who refuse to compromise on the principles that made America great, are throwing in the towel.

More of us are waking up everyday and we that have, have only just begun to fight.

What good is it if a people gain the world only to loose their souls? Make no mistake, any nation that slaughters its young has forfeited its soul. The curse of Obama is evidence of it.

People today often wonder how the good people of Germany could sit back and allowed millions of their fellow citizens to be put to death in a most horrible way. If people just stop and look at what is happening to us today, you see how insidious compromise can be, and where it leads.

You seem like an honest and decent person. Please go watch a video of an abortion. Better yet, find a video of a partial birth abortion (they're out there). Then come back and tell me you will cast your vote for a presidential candidate who condones infanticide.

Please tell me you're not comparing Romney to Hitler.

And whoever made the Churchill allusion upthread was absolutely right. Obama vs. Romney may not be Hitler vs. Stalin, but the comparison is apt in many ways.

At this point, I don't care how bad Romney is, he is better that Obama. I'll fight the "Let's get the RINO out of the White House" battle in 2016, and do it thankful that we have a country left to fight for.

You're right, we are only just starting to fight. But what might have happened if Washington gave up after the battle of Long Island? "I don't like the way those British fight, so I'm just going to sit out the next battle..." Yeah, that's the way to win.

My point is this: If we allow Obama to remain in power for another four years, God only knows what condition this country will be like, and the likelihood of our taking back the White House may diminsh with every year Obama is in office.

Friends, this is a war for the very soul of America, and I for one, will fight each battle using every tool in our arsenal to get us back on the right path. And if the only tool available to me is less than perfect, I will use what I can of it until I find a better tool.

Don't get me wrong! If Santorum ends up being the nominee (or Gingrich, or whomever), I will fight just as strongly for them.

Please don't quit the battle just because you don't like the particular weapon we happen to be carrying just now.

Oh, and we already have a President who not only condones infanticide, he actually voted in his State Senate days to allow it to continue. Based on that alone, do you really want him to remain in office?

All other things being equal, your argument is valid, of course. And if Obama's voting record on abortion were any good, it might be something to consider. However, all other things are so far out of whack that, sadly, this is only one of many arguments to take into account.

Thanks for the ping!

If Willy Rom-Rom RINO becomes our next POTUS, he will continue to cave-in to what the Debtocrats want. Thus, Willy will be Obamalite, a transitional President between the financial disastrous past 12 years when over 9 TRILLION dollars have been added to the National Debt that your grandchildren’s descendants will be asked to repay, and the even worst disaster of the next 4 years.

If Dictator Baby-Doc Barack wins another term as the White House Occupier, then our only hope for financial survival is to IMPEACH his High Poo-Bah Sorryness, ASAP.

In either case, yours truly will increase the thickness of callouses on my keyboard fingers as I continue to send out my cheap, verbal abuse.

Our best chance to bring sanity back to our horrendous political road show is for Romney to be denied the 1144 Primary votes, and the Convention choose SC Sen. Jim DeMint to be the Nominee, IMHO.

Your point is well taken about choosing to write in a candidate. Another option for those of us that cannot write in a name, (I live in Texas, where it is illegal to write in) is to vote, but leave the POTUS entry blank. This is an ABSTAIN vote, or a “None of the Above “ vote.

Either one is better than staying at home and not voting, as that is what the Democrats are counting on. Just look at the number of Primary voters who are Lefties that voted for lefty Romney. They know that with Romney as the Nominee, that a large % of Conservatives will not even bother to vote.

So vote with a write in, or vote and leave the POTUS blank, but TURN IN YOUR BALLOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the interest of honestly assessing Romney's position on infanticide, I've reviewed several videos on UTube. I think this one linked below, pretty much sums up his original position and his new position.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CUL8I3KZO4&feature=related

He claims he had a change of heart after he became Governor. On the other hand, he seems to regard keeping his word to the people of Mass, to not strengthen pro-life legislation, as being more important than the lives of the infants he now passionately claims to recognize as human beings.

You haven't defended him has being pro-life, or even somewhat pro-life. You have suggested Obama is far worse. On that, I agree with you.

Everyone makes mistakes and maybe Romney has had a change of heart, but you'd be blind to not see Romney's political posturing and his statements are designed by well paid consultants, instead of being from his heart. So we're back to the "lessor of two evils" as the only possible choices. Either choice simply maintains the status quo during which the evils compounds, which is how we got to 50 million unborn babies being destroyed.

No FRiend, I'm done with that, as I hope a lot of others are. It's time to dissolve the status quo and vote for good, or simply not vote for evil of any kind if that is the only option. I'm seeing reports that the GOP establishment is in a tizzy, as well they should be, for they know they've stepped in it this time.

I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I’d rather avoid the crash if at all possible—hoping the pendulum doesn’t quite scrape the bottom as it swings back in the other direction; and then we can slowly gain the conservative momentum we currently lack.

It seems to me that you’d rather have the crash, get it over with, and then start building again (if re-building is possible by then) with what you perceive to be a far more perfect conservative candidate. (I hope I haven’t mis-characterized your position here.)

Yours is an understandable position, and it may be that it is, in fact, what will happen despite everything. However, I fervently hope that we can avoid the crash which you seem to welcome.

Regardless, the good times aren’t going to be rolling anytime soon, I fear.

You have but that's par I suppose. In the meantime, while we've been having this little debate, another ten thousand young lives were taken. If that's not a civilization crashing, then what is?

Have a great day...

Please tell me what was incorrect... I’d like to know. I understand I was being very simplistic in my last comment, but it seemed to me that you’d rather sit on your hands and not vote (or vote “NUTS”) because your preferred candidate is not on the ballot.

And that is absolutely your right—I’m not arguing with that at all! I just want to understand your position.

Well at least you didn't say "perfect candidate" this time.

I believe I've more than may myself clear that my position on infanticide prevented me from casting a vote for Romney. I've even reviewed some of his previous interviews to ensure I wasn't mistaking his position.

If you're the kind of individual who doesn't have a problem with it, or that your candidate for president condones it, then you should take a harder look at what abortion is all about.

If you're just willing to settle for ABO, then I hope you wake up to the fact that when you vote for the lessor of two evils, it's still evil. It's also a well known propaganda tactic that works every time.

One thing for sure, there's going to be hell to pay. So I'm going to do what I believe is the right thing to do and what God would want us to do and trust in divine intervention to deliver us from evil.

One other thing, you and the GOP are going to be shocked at how many people refuse to cast their vote for Romney if he becomes the GOP candidate.

And don't think the Democrats don't already know this...

Anybody who can smear Gingrich and Santorum with a vengeance will do the same thing to Obama.

“Actually he’s been far kinder to Obama than he has to conservatives but do what you gotta do I guess.”

Rush Limbaugh last Friday, April 6, 2012 ~

...So I think by the time all of this is said and done, when you see what Obama has planned for Romney, you’re then gonna judge, how does Romney deal with this? My fear is that Obama says Augusta needs to let women in, and five minutes later Romney’s out with the same thing. My fear is that we’re gonna get a lot of that. I hope not, but only time will tell. Won’t be long.

Think of your soul people. There is no “lessor of two evils”
this time, if Romney is the candidate, he’s a pro-abort just
like BHO. Romney signed Romneycare.

You have cooperated with evil if you vote for Romney, it is
a sin on your soul.

Pray for a miracle. Trust God can make it happen.
