SANFORD, Fla. — The man charged with second-degree murder in Trayvon Martin's death has arrived at a Florida jail after turning himself in.
George Zimmerman reached the jail in Sanford on Wednesday night, hours after a special prosecutor announced the charge against him. He's expected to make his first court appearance on Thursday.

They have no evidence that they didn’t have when they first exhonorated him. This is a second bite at the apple for political reasons.
I think your absolutely correct.
It explains a few things. Mainly, why they did not go to a grand jury. I don’t think the would have got the desired outcome.
I think the lesson here is that 4 more years of Obama and we will be dead disarmed victims.
I have not heard a single argument for Zimmerman or Trayvon that isn’t a fallacious appeal to ignorance.
As in “we know that Trayvon didn’t attack Zimmerman because we don’t know that he did,” and every variation of that sentence.

Purge the race-baiting communists.
We, as Conservatives, need to know how to use "leverage". We have to start using "crisis" against them. This is one of their own and they are trying to sacrifice him on the alter of their agenda. If we knew how to play things right, this ought to be able to be used to turn against them, as it should.
He was a Neighborhood Watch Captain.
In the long run this could be the best thing to happen to him since there is a racist lynch mob out to get him.
I think the Prosecutor did Zimm a favor by charging him with 2nd degree murder. It will be tough to reach that standard of proof. She would have been better off charging him with manslaughter. Just sayin’
I just posted this on another thread, but this is the same point: The fact is, for conservatives, 2nd Amendment rights trump political affiliation. We fully support the right of liberals to carry concealed weapons to protect themselves with. (Unfortunately, there are a disproportionate number of “liberals” who carry concealed weapons are criminals who do not carry under the structure of the 2nd Amendment.
There are idiots, even on this thread, who don’t understand that the 2nd Amendment is for those of us who don’t fall into the category above, and even a low-life liberal Democrat, Obama supporter deserves the protection the 2nd Amendment affords.
Note that this sentiment is not reciprocal. There are many liberals who want everyone to be unarmed except for themselves.
I have read several news stories that state that Zimmerman was a captain in the Neighborhood Watch.
Obama’s public statement on the case could be seen as jury tampering. Then of course Holder lavishes praise on Sharpton, who turned an obscure incident into a national obsession.
“When he is asked about it, he doesn’t have the guts to tell anyone how he really feels.”
Feelings are for little kids, old ladies and liberals.
As for what I think about this matter is that Neighbor Hood Watch Capt. Zimmerman was out in his patrol sector when he spotted Travon acting suspiciously and casing houses in an area where there had been a rash a burglaries committed by offenders who meet Trayvon’s description.
Capt. Zimmerman continued to observe Trayvon, but Trayvon somehow slipped away and backtracked in order to attack Zimmerman and attempt to kill him.
Capt. Zimmerman defended himself with his service weapon as Trayvon was attempting to use it against him.
Good Lord.
