Appropriate Actions! Eric Holder Speaks On Trayvon Martin (DETAILS)

Overcoming injustice and eliminating disparities is something that America still struggles with, as the case of Trayvon Martin has become national news.

In a speech to the Detroit chapter of the NAACP on Sunday, Attorney General Eric Holder mentioned the case of Trayvon while talking about the violence and crime involving young people in today’s inner cities.

As Holder told the NAACP:

"This (violence) is an issue that has -– rightly -– garnered significant national attention in recent months, as our nation has struggled to make sense of the tragic shooting death of a Florida teenager named Trayvon Martin.

As this case moves through the legal system, Justice Department officials will continue to communicate closely with state and local authorities to ensure that community concerns are heard, tensions are alleviated, and – as with every investigation at every level – appropriate actions are guided by the facts and the law."

The Justice Department has been investigating whether any federal civil rights laws were violated in Trayvon’s death at the hands of a neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman.

Holder on Sunday told the Detroit NAACP that "as we all know, the reality is that certain aspects of this case are far from unique. And incidents of violence involving young people are anything but rare."

The fight for justice in the name of Trayvon continues, but it's good to see that the Attorney General is staying tight-lipped about the case.

If Trayvon is found innocent in a Florida and this pice of slime Holder decides to hold him under a Federal rap he may be lighting the fuse on a powder keg.

With any luck Mr. Holder will be long gone before this case comes to fruition. Of course, it was Bush I’s people who prosecuted the Rodney King cops, not a Democrat.

Holder knows he doesnt have anything on Zimmerman, otherwise he would have ‘leaked’ his opinion. But, knowing he has nothing on Z, H basically is prepping the protesters that he has reviewed it, so they don’t say he didn’t try.

Thus proving once again, the only time the GOP-e will think "outside the box" is to placate the Democrats.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt and vote for Romney this time if they had EVER shown such creativity in actually beating the liberal agenda.

...to ensure that community concerns are heard, tensions are alleviated, and – as with every investigation at every level – appropriate actions are guided by the facts and the law."

Unless "community concerns" are about being "guided by the facts and the law" then one has to give way to the other. We already know that "community concerns" don't give a rat's patoot about "the facts and the law" about George Zimmerman so what are you "guided by," Mr. Holder?

Would Fast and Furious be an indication?

Hey!  Yuh Jack Wagon!

  1. One tragedy occurred while another was converted and who knows what actual damage will result down the road from having one’s head bounced off the concrete.

  1. Your job isn’t to give voice the “that community”.  Your job is to ensure a just and proper outcome guided by a justice who balances the law blindly

Could George Zimmerman be considered a ‘political prisoner’ under this Administration?

Anybody here still “struggling to make sense” of Trayvon’s death?
