My gut tells me something is missing. I don’t doubt this man was wronged in a huge way and needs to be compensated generously.

I saw video of this on TV. He is in a neighborhood and was digging under adjacent property.
The were no support structures in place, and it was in threat of collapse.
I’m not endorsing the city of Austin’s action. The man is suing to get his property back.
I’d like to know how they found out he had a bunker? If I had one, nobody would know.
The door to it would be covered with a carpet and a desk (or something else) would be placed on top. That’s how it would stay unless I were down there doing something.

Not far fetched as he hates America, walked around for months with the Post-America book he was reading, has all national intelligence assets looking at anyone who is "anti-government" (anti-Obama) as a threat. (And in case you didn't know, Freedom From War, the UN treaties do not allow civillians to remain armed - which means confiscation, by force if necessary.)
Do not think they will not take your supplies as well, as these emergency orders will also allow them to take any of your property they need. Once they disarm you it won't be hard.
