Have Republicans Given Up Fighting Gay Rights?
President Obama and his lieutenants aren't the only ones whose views on same-sex marriage are "evolving."
Republicans -- including prominent conservative office-holders, pundits and activists -- are increasingly endorsing key parts of the gay-rights agenda. What do former Vice President Dick Cheney, Governor Chris Christie, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, former Governor Sarah Palin, columnist Ann Coulter and anti-tax activist Grover Norquist have in common? They're all prominent conservatives, and they've all made overtures to the gay community.
Cheney publicly endorsed gay marriage years ago. In January, Christie appointed New Jersey's first openly gay Supreme Court justice. Priebus has done fundraisers with the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay rights group. Palin hinted that she supported repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Coulter and Norquist sit on the advisory board of GOProud, a gay conservative advocacy group.
There have been noteworthy developments at the state and federal levels. In March, a majority of New Hampshire Republican legislators joined Democrats to reject a bill that would have repealed a gay marriage law and replaced it with civil unions.
And in 2011, New York legalized same-sex marriage with the decisive support of four Republican senators, marking the first time in the nation that a legislative body controlled by Republicans approved either same-sex marriage or civil unions. According to a recent Politico story, House Republicans have "quietly worked behind the scenes to kill amendments that reaffirm opposition to same-sex unions." Politico reporters interviewed House Republicans and found that gay issues "hardly register" with them.

I wholly reject the premise laid by this very distorted and loaded question.
Homosexuals have the same basic “rights” as normal people.
What “Republicans”, or more accurately conservatives, are fighting is the mainstreaming of a perversion that has been soundly rejected throughout human history.
The GOPe would surrender on just about every issue if they thought it would make the leftists like them.
I sure hope they haven’t. The pedophiles are coming up to bat next! We’re “violating their civil rights” to molest, rape and murder children. We’ve got to fight against the liberal “anything goes” machine.
If the democrat party is Sodom...
Is the republican party Gomorrah?...
I'd rather fight than switch"
repubs are the last, best hope for the hetero’s.
There was a time when homosexuality was criminalized.
And if you engage in criminal behavior you normally will not be hired. At one time the American Psychiatric Association labeled homosexuality a mental disorder until the PC crowd came along. Those suffering from mental problems are denied rights accorded to sane people.
Homosexuals have the same basic rights as normal people.
Yes-—there are many Sandusky-types in the Republican party and press and Hollywood who will bribe to force their Satanic practices—as normal and “moral” which became evident in the Franklin cover-up.

True conservatives are fighting the homosexual paradigm which removes God given rights and replaces it with Rights from the State and arbitrary law (unjust).
The whole homosexual movement is to remove all sexual morality—rid the concept of God from the Constitution— which is the slippery slope to sodomizing boys like was normal for thousands of years and is normal in Afghanistan and other current cultures.
Romney wants Gay Couples to adopt children.
That in itself is an endorsement of Gay Marriage.
And I fear there will be a time in the future when we lament that "There was a time when pedophilia was criminalized."
I believe the GOP leadership is watching the party of the left leaning RINO’s die.
I don’t wish to belong to a party of cowards, who give up on what is right just to get votes from people who hate them to being with.
I will vote for Romney this time just to get rid of the Kenyan, but for me the GOP is dead.I’ve had enough.
They do not wear conservatism every hour of the day as the liberals do their socialist agendas. Sure, they will eventually cave on all things as the commies push & push & push until they win.
It won't be long before speaking against it is criminalized, IMO.

Yes, the truly better days, when we actually made unapologetic moral judgments, for the greater good of our children, and society in general.
Republicans vs. Democrats: Maybe A Dime's Worth Of Difference
~ Larry Elder, "The Ten Things You Can't Say In America"
Dan Quayle once stated that gays have enough rights. . and they do. The outlandish behavior that many of them exhibit in “Gay Pride” parades tend to bring down the anger and resentment of bullies and so-called macho men on their heads as well as other homosexual men who may not be “in your face”. Some gays don’t “ACT OUT”, and there is no call for anyone to act out.
“It won’t be long before speaking against it is criminalized, IMO. “
They’ll try, “hate crimes” is an effort, but, we have the 1st Amendment on our side and I think we’ll win.
Well our nominee for president just said that he doesn’t support gay marriage but he does support their right to adopt and distort children.
