(The Hill) -- Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) warned Republican House members not to to celebrate if the Supreme Court rules against the healthcare law.
"There will be no spiking of the ball," he wrote in a memo to the conference. "Republicans are focused on the economy … We will not celebrate at a time when millions of our fellow Americans remain out of work."
The memo came after a tense morning when the Supreme Court could have issued its ruling, but did not.
The next possible day for a decision is Monday, June 25. Justices could also issue a ruling later next week.

Why would Boehner say something like this? Is he expecting a partial vote down? Or Obama to usurp the Supreme Court by dictate and assume the rest of the Congress will do nothing? Why say “if we win, don’t be happy”?

I’ll celebrate all I want. Just like here in WI, the dems told us all NOT to celebrate and not to rub it in their faces when Walker won AGAIN. I did not, nor did my friends. But I can think what I want. Boo Hoo is spineless.
No, he is doing it, a bit ham-handedly, because it is an election year and he is terrified of offending independents - the group of voters that will choose the next President and the makeup of the House and Senate.
They are, at the danger of offending them, a bunch of Rodney King "let's all get along" ninnies and sissies and get their panties in a wad if Republicans start acting "partisan". That's why he's doing it, he needs the votes of that cohort in order to win. That's why Democrats always try to bait the Republicans into something they can claim is "partisan"...because the independents piss all over themselves when they hear that.
