I gave money to Newt. Now that it is Romney that Karl Rove & Crispy Kreme moderates forced upon us my phone rings for Mitt contributions. Recently, on one of those calls, the caller was trying to scare me to contribute by using the money tactic saying "Obama has more money" and "Obama has 1B". I told them "I gave to Newt and I will not give anymore and I will give Mitt my vote only and the rest is up to him. This is his election to lose" Once again the response was a scare tactic about Obama having 1B.
If Obama has 1 billion then why all the latest articles about Obama being outspent and the difficulties to fund the DNC convention, and how silicon valley is favoring Romney?
All Romney has is my vote. If its money he needs get it from the deep pockets that seem to sway things their way anyhoot.
I am not kidding when I say we get 2 fundraising letters and at least one phone call per day. Today, we received two bumper stickers.
Lots of money spent to raise money.
They’re just doing their job. Don’t take offense. If you don’t want to talk to fundraisers or telemarketers or pollsters, just hang up.
It’s your phone, your home, your time.
AT&T called me a few hours ago making a sales pitch, asking all sorts of questions. Finally I said “Wait someone’s at my door- hold please”. About 15 minutes later I got the “phone off hook” signal.
Scare tactics are used by every political party (and other fundraisers) everywhere. Not just the USA. Everywhere. It’s fundraising 101.
The RINO’s wanted this guy, let them fund him.
Just remember that the person making the call is really some poor slob trying to make a living. They're probably getting minimum wage to make those calls. True, you don't have to listen, but be polite when you dismiss them.
"Sorry, I'm not interested. Thank you for the call. Goodbye."
And who do you think sold Romney the donation list with your phone number on it? Your boy Newtie, of course. Why? Cause Newtie has campaign debts he has to pay and one way to raise the money is to sell your name and number. If there’s a governor or senate race in your state, that candidate probably has it too.
Giving money to campaigns is like agreeing to an email virus.
lOL ........... Gave money to newt?
Hey, just do what I do. Tell donation solicitors that you’ve implemented your own campaign finance reform: You’ve decided not to give money to any candidate.
That’s one possibility, but the phone lists are gleaned from a variety of sources, including voting rolls and DMV rolls. Pols exempted themselves from the “Do Not Call” prohibition.
You are absolutely right: give one dime to a political campaign and you are an instant target.
I’d just about mortgage my house for Sarah....but she isn’t who we’ve got. it is what it is. I sent $ to Romney and will probably send more because Obama is a communist/fascist/citizen of the world who really does not care about the USA.
This is Romneys to lose!
That’s exactly what I do. :)
This is true. Fred Thompson sold his list to Newt, and Newt’s forwarded it on to Romney, who will sell to ???? next election cycle.
So far, Romney hasn’t been playing softball.
Did I initially want Mitt to be the nominee? No.. He is and I am going to support him. I want barack h. Obama removed from office.
I believe business will let go of some of the cash they’re holding if we dump brack h. Also, I am terrified of what Obama would do to our courts.
I am far more about showing b. h. Obama the exit door than I am for Mitt.
Agreed, gotta show this guy the door!
“The RINOs wanted this guy, let them fund him.”
Amen!
