The Five’s Bob Beckel Goes Ballistic On Allen West: ‘Shut Up, You Blowhard!

On Tuesday’s edition of Fox News’ The Five, the panel debated whether Americans have become too dependent on government assistance today — with liberal co-host Bob Beckel being the lone dissenter on the notion. When the rest of the hosts played a clip from Rep. Allen West (R-FL) reinforcing their point, calling Social Security “modern 21st-century slavery,” Beckel went on a tirade, telling the congressman to “shut up” while calling him a “blowhard.”

Republican nominee Mitt Romney needs to make clear the difference between himself and President Barack Obama, emphasizing the question: “Do you see the average American as an achiever or an ATM?”

I watched The Five this week for the first time in awhile. Juan Williams was in for Beckel. It was so much more tolerable without this bull in a china shop. I actually enjoy Beckel on Hannity and in one on one interviews. He seems like a fairly likable guy, but in the Five, he makes it intolerable to watch. I love the rest of the panel, but he just makes it feel dirty.

I sent The Five a farewell email several months after they premiered. Could not take Beckel or Juan William, no matter how much I enjoyed watching Kimberley. She is hawt.

Beckel hates Allen West because he and the Dems are scared silly that Romney will chose him as his VP.

Some of the black American vote will definitely shift from Obama to another black politician who was raised in America and also experienced their struggles and challenges. Black American voters will have another choice, a Christian man who shares their values.

Many people don’t realize the disabled military qualify for Social Security Disability as well as Veteran’s benefits. So some of the new claims are from military.

Another issue, hubby has a friend that has been working with serious back issues for several years. He kept seeking treatment, toughing up and working. Finally he became unable to do the job he was doing, running heavy construction equipment. If jobs were plentiful he may have found another job he could do and been able to keep working but is now on disability. I have no idea how many that are now getting on disability have been working in spite of their disability but it may account for some of the new claims.

Allan West:
master's degree in political science from Kansas State University. He also earned a master of military arts and sciences degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer College in political theory and military history and operations.

Bob Beckel:
a recovering alcoholic, has spoken openly about his past addictions to drugs and alcohol, admitting in July 2011 on The Five: "I'm a recovering addict and cocaine was my drug of choice."

I have no problem with genuinely disabled people, but there is massive scamming going on. If this was private insurance private detectives would regularly be looking into the cases. That doesn't happen with taxpayer funded disability.

Sooner or later the system will collapse. In the meantime Democrats will lock in their voter base by making them dependent on the benefits.
