At Last Standing Up To Those Who Do Mudslinging

Could we be REALLY SEEING a much stronger Mitt Romney emerge to take on the mudslinging that is coming from the President Barack Hussein Obama re-election team?

Yesterday GOP/Republican 2012 United States of America frontrunner Mitt Romney hits very strong and hard President Obama on the issue of the personal attacks that are coming from the President Obama’s White House and the Democrats. He was very much right in calling out President Obama and the attacks by making it very clear that what President Obama is doing is a sign of a very angry and desperate man.

“Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago“, Mr. Romney had said while doing campaigning stops in Ohio. Mr. Romney not only sent the message direct to President Obama, but to all who are working on his re-election campaign, which include any super pacs. This includes the super pace which put out that very disgusting political tv and internet ad about a man who lost his wife to cancer with an effort to blame Mr. Romney for both her cancer and her death. What was so wrong with this very down and dirty political ad is that not only it was false but also it uses a man in this time of sorrow over the passing of his wife to attack a candidate running for political office.

"I truly deplore his decision not to raise the riot act against the Supreme Judicial Court when it (unconstitutionally) instituted gay marriage here in Massachusetts.'

Corrected copy:

[I truly deplore Mitt Romney's decision to (unconstitutionally) institute gay marriage here in Massachusetts.]

Romney was the one who ordered the justices and clerks to allow gays to marry or be fired even though the court had not issued gov. Romney any order to change anything or fire anyone.

It was not a matter of Romney not raising 'the riot act against the Supreme Judicial Court.' It was a matter of Romney working to promote the gay agenda in Massachusetts by giving them gay marriage. Even their most ardent supporter, the Supreme Court of Massachusetts, did not dare ask this to be done.

I could take issue with a number of your points. But they all basically come down to the same thing -- Romney the socialist candidate being presented in the best possible light whether or not it is true. To me, the truth matters.

People being deceived into believing the lies about a candidate got us Obama. The way out of this situation is not to set up another candidate based on lies. It is with the truth and the truth will free us all.

I sure HOPE so!

Mitt Romney and/or his team NEVER engages in this kind of conduct!

That's because being a MORMON means you are WAY above this kind of low, crass, GENTILE type of conduct!

Now Romney is a racist.

No, no, NO!!!

It's his chosen RELIGION that was, back before Mitt's 33rd birthday!

SURELY you cannot hold THAT against Romney!

--MormonDude(After all, Mitt was por-choice back then, too; and we don't hold THAT against him now!)

Well spoken; however, I did NOT start at minute five, as suggested, but wanting to hear the context, I played it from the beginning. But (you KNEW it was coming ;^) he still uses the same argument we've heard countless times "...if you are choosing between the two..." I did like the way he explained how the word CULT is used and how it should be used; generally at least. As a minor point; he did NOT say how MORMONism uses it. I could not see whether you pinged Jeff Head among the group you've attracted to this thread, for there were more names than fit on the screen; so I'll ping him so that he could hear Christianity's reply to MORMONism without the BAGGAGE that myself and others have drug into FR.

So what does that leave you with: Armed insurrection?

Such a thing would be very short-lived. Obama King George would take a "fly-swatter" to it in no time. No sweat!

I am now an "Independent" (in Massachusetts, read "Unenrolled") voter. I like it just fine that way.

And it's the Independants (the tiller of American politics that steer the ship of state) that will swing the election.

The vast mass of poorly informed folks who watch(ed) Oprah and Montel and Mahre and Big Brother and SNL's take on the news.

These are the folks who have us by the gonads.

Politics must 'appeal' to them, to 'woo' them, to 'promise' them things.

The Constitution is not a "flawed document."

Oh?

MORMONism has stated as much, claiming the day will come when it's hanging by a thread.

It is very unlikely that Tea Party conservatives are going to take control of the House through the November elections.

Then we are doomed anyway.

My hope is that Romney can be moved to a more conservative way of governing..

To 'change' his way of doing things?

Isn't Hope & Change what we got LAST time???

“It is a whole ‘nother level of surprising to see Jim Robinson actively working to defeat Romney ... and doing that has the result of giving David Axelrod a free gift. If that doesn’t shock a longtime Freeper, well, have nice day.”

No, I am not shocked I am pleased to see such courage. Romney is NOT conservative. Romney will “de facto” be painted as the “Conservative” candidate by the MSM. Therefore, he will damage the brand “Conservative” by his future actions. It is quite possbile to discern those actions based upon his past actions. When Romney screws up, and he will, the brand of “conservatism” will suffer because most people aren’t wise enough to know that Romeny is not conservative. This will hinder, possibly for a very long time, the chances of getting a real conservative as POTUS.

Once again, you imply that Jim Robinson (et. Al.) are giving support to the Dems by “opposing” the election of Romney. That is “spin” and an incorrect interpretation of what is going on. Also, it is insulting and denigrating. To protect conservatism from being maligned by a “false conservative” is an honorable and courageous thing to do.

This stand has NOTHING to do with providing support to Obama, it is about protecting conservatism. You should stop saying or implying such a thing.

If one protects and insists upon true conservatism in a GOP candidate....that IS in the best long term interests of the country and the GOP. To sell out and support Romney for the pragmatic expediency of “removing Obama” does NOT fix the problem, it actually makes it worse.

No one disagrees that Obama is horrific...very horrific. However, if one compromises on bedrock principles (opposing abortion, opposing the Homosexual agenda) in order to get rid of him. Then they are using gasoline to put out a fire. It will not work, just make things worse. You will be replacing one wrong with another and do more damage in the process. Obama is evil, but Romney is NOT the answer to Obama.

You have a nice day as well.

Good morning, Elsie.
I will not allow Obama to steal my hope...or my fervent desire to change presidents.

I am not expecting miracles..It will take years to undo the harmm done by Obamanation..I pray it isn’t too late to start.
I know your position..Let’s just agree to disagree.

It would only take a minute or so to...

"...stroke of the pen and into law.

Kinda neat, huh?"

and it's bye-bye Rowe v Wade

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
That's it!!

Now it's our job to do what it says.... now, through this election, and onward!

> We know Romney's goal: win the election. That's the only thing he's serious about.

Yep, that's about it... Romney's attitude is "Okay, MY TURN NOW."

I don't think he really has any clue about how serious our situation is.

Nor do I think he will take any of the necessary steps to correct the decay America faces (my post above #49).

He's nothing but a placeholder politician with an (R) next to his name.

He's therefore a distraction, and dangerous because he wastes precious time we need to work on restoring America!

The well-intentioned folks who want everybody to vote for Romney "because Obama is worse" do not see the forest for the trees.

The Dems have had their turn at destroying America. Of what use is giving Romney four years to basically continue that, maybe slower and with a different letter (R vs D) behind his name?

We have to keep the pressure on to support real leaders who will fight to restore America! The establishment parties have failed.

We need Rebellion against the establishment that is dragging America down!

Yep. You're right.

I think Romney wants the power and the prestige so he can manage or oversee the deterioration of America, like Newt said. Look at Detroit for example. Romney is just another big government liberal or RINO, who despises us TEA Party folks, conservatism and the limits on government our Constitution provides.

I have no use for him and I'm actually furious he chose Paul Ryan ahead of the convention to stave off a floor fight. It's obvious he trying to win this election on Paul Ryan's back, much like McCain tried with Sarah Palin.

I'm sick to my almost death of the second spot rating the top spot on the ticket and folks justifying their vote because of the VP.

My God, Romney "won" the primary trashing and slashing his conservative rivals and NOW he needs the CONSERVATIVE Paul Ryan to win "his" election?

!!!!!!!!

Give me a FReepin break!
