I guess you haven’t heard that Candy’s out.

Out of the debate, or out of the closet?

Thanks. We do what we can.

Seriously - I think it is quite rude to start a thread and then just take off, especially when the thread is successful at generating interest.

When I see a person engaged in self-promotion here, I'm always much more apt to lend an ear to what he has to say if a look at his posting history shows him to be an engaged member of the community. Nothing screams "PIMP!" louder than a series of posts numbered "1 of X" with no commentary in between.

We've got some good bloggers around here who post and then interact and aren't stingy about sharing their material. Unfortunately they tend to be the exception rather than the rule.

Well, that's about as much seriousness as I can muster for tonight, so now for something completely different .....

I believe that Romney’s smart enough to offer some salient facts instead of trying to anwer gotcha questions. If some one calls him on not answering the question, the answer should be, “There IS no answer to your question”. He prepared so well for the last debate that he probably had as much in reserve as he let out on stage - I can’t see him not being prepared for this one. He’s not lazy and spoiled like Zero, who may very well make the same mistakes again because this time, “the fix is in”...

Romney is not perfect in this area [saying what he wants for America] but far better than Obama.

Romney is far better than 0bumble in every area.

They’re leftists.

Has anybody answered the question as to why presidential debate moderators are almost always leftists?

Because the GOP-E are liberals and think other liberals are moderate and fair. Or maybe Republicans are just stupid.

“That sort of punk politics is everything the “Independents” hate about elections.”

True, which is why I’m thankful Romney didn’t take Bill O’s advice.

Indeed.

We are hiring Romney to handle Putin, Ahmananeedanutjob, China, etc.

He just handled a leftist incompetent President like a rented mule.

He can handle a biased media person and some weenie liberal pretend undecideds. Remember, our idiot GOP allowed liberals to run practically ALL the GOP primary debates, so Romney’s been there (Matthews, Wolf Blitzer, you name it).

Since the “participants” and their questions will be selected by “Gallup”, there’s no telling what will be thrown against the wall. I gotta believe soft balls for uncle obie and un-answerable questions to mittens. This should be interesting to say the least.

All Mr Romney needs to do is look the young heads full of mush straight in the eye and say...Thanks to Mr Obama you are inheriting a debt of epic proportions. He has already allowed the credit rating of the United States to be downgraded. Bad credit and enormous debt, that's the Obama legacy.

If you elect me President I will lead us out of this death spiral by unleashing the unstoppable energy of the American Spirit. We will grow our economy and there will be more opportunity for everyone.

Mr Obama is fixated on creating a floor that no one can fall below. I believe the American dream is to live a life where there is no ceiling on how far we can rise.

Do not be prisoner of what you fear might happen. fear is a great enemy that saps your will. Instead be an activist in the name of your own individual prosperity.

One of the greatest gifts a person can give to their family, to their community and to their nation is the gift of self reliance. By so doing you provide resources for yourself and also those in need. By being self reliant you contribute to the well being of the whole in a quiet yet powerful way.

We must unleash the power of the private sector in order to create opportunity for self reliance. Mr Obama will continue to expand the reach and cost of the public sector government bureaucracies. All well intentioned government programs with nice sounding names.

But the reality is that government can never provide the quality of life that a free man or woman acting in his/her own best interests will provide for themselves. Unless of course you hold one of those government jobs. The unspoken truth is that when it comes right down to it...government does of great job of taking care of government, but a very poor job of taking care of people.

Your choice is to be a servant of government dependent on a government agency, or will you be an agent of your own destiny, capitalizing on the opportunities available in a free America where you can rise to any height unfettered by a domineering government class that is addicted to the fruits of your labor.

Couldn’t agree with you more! Lehrer was spoon feeding Obama answers and challenging Romneys answers FOR Obama. He could not have been more biased. Yes, the next moderator is even more biased, but Rmoney will handle it fine. He’s not a great debater like Reagan, but he’s solid, knowledgeable and competent. Obama is very mediocre when he doesn’t have his TelePromter. I bet the next debate is called a draw by all except the partisan hacks.

I agree that the crowd will be packed with hostile lefties waiting to get a piece of Mitt. My hope is that 1) Mitt is prepared and handles it well; and 2) if the deck is stacked too crazily against Mitt (ala the post-Benghazi presser), that it will engender from sympathy for him from the average viewer.

Yes I agree. I’ll never like Romney, but I can respect him as a leader.

And good news, as the new polling rolls in post debate, Romney has started to take a lead in polls he was behind in.
