I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.
Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.
He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.
Baby Keegan!!!
God bless you, Sweetheart...keep growing little one, KEEP GROWING! You can do this!
Prayers still going up!!!! Thank you for the updates & God Bless!!!!
Oh my! Sweet baby Keegan.
Thanks for the ping El Gato
Takes me back to earlier times and our dear Texas Termite.
Prayers at work.
He is soooo beautiful; countinued prayers for little Keegan; I am so appreciative of your updates... love to Keegan’s family!!!
You can see he's made a lot of progress between the two pictures. And now he's not even got the breathing tube he had in the more recent picture. I'll bet he's happy about that. CPAP machine is not that great either, I use one, but it's way more comfortable than that tube had to be.
What a handsome little guy! So bright eyed! Keep strong, baby Keegan James... you are in our prayers and our best wishes. Hugs, Mom
Sending him a kiss.((((Hugs)))
Yep it does you back to The Texas Termite. Course he's a lot bigger today than he was in those days.
Pinging "him" to this thread... don't know why I didn't think of that before. (It's really not him, or wasn't the last time I checked anyway. Might be now. My 7 y/o granddaughter is roaming the 'net all the time, more since she got her new 'puter for Christmas. She likes to Skype with her Grandma)
The Texas Termite thread is up to 14,307 posts, the last several being mine, bragging about my twin granddaughters. :)
Ladyiris58, you might want to skim, and share, that thread linked just above, it's about another little premie, Logan, who weighed just about the same as Keegan, was born about the same amount early, and is now 9 1/2 years old, and at last report, all boy. Many of the pictures that were originally included on the thread are no longer accessible.
I'm also pinging Logan's Nana, that is his grandmother, something else I should have done earlier.
They did a second eye exam and he does have ROP. It is severe enough that later today he is getting laser eye surgery.
ROP(Retinopathy of Prematurity) is generally treatable with good results. Not uncommon in a baby who was so tiny at birth. A little about ROP.
OK! Thanks for the update. Prayers poured on here.
Prayer Warriors...please see #251.
Keegan is facing another hurdle and needs prayer.
Prayers for little Keegan.
Prayers continue for that sweet tiny baby!...and for the doctors who are doing their best for him!
Bless his heart. May God watch over this little guy as well as his family and doctors.
Sorry to hear the bad news and join with all the others praying for a successful procedure!
Prayers continue for Keegan and his family.
Prayers up!
