Obama's Revenge: Day 12 (2/1/13)

Well, they've had their greasy paws on the schools for decades. And now, the same folks who will move mountains to get sexually active preteen schoolgirls all the contraception they want and knocked-up girls all the abortions they want -- even without knowledge or consent of their parents -- are set to ban candy and sugary drinks from schools nationwide.

Remember - it's all for the children.

Look, nobody's for loading their kids up with sugar and other junk. As a parent of two young kids, I certainly don't. But it's not the job of some soulless bureaucracy in Washington, D.C. to prohibit its availability outright.

Ben Shapiro at Breitbart writes:

In typical federal government fashion, the rules run a full 160 pages. They do not ban juice, and call for foods to be fruit, vegetable, dairy, protein, whole-grain, or a combination thereof.

Of course, most students will either forego the healthy snacks or throw them out. But wasting taxpayer money has never been a problem for this administration.

This is to be expected. School kids have already rebelled against the Obama administration's assault on school lunches, with kids throwing out tons of food they just don't want to eat, or smuggling and trading more palatable foods in a juvenile black market.

The food fascists of the left are already giddy about this. In fact, Massachusetts, and the city of Chicago have already assaulted your child's food freedom.

From guns to food to cigarettes, to the water in your toilets, cars in your driveway, light bulbs in your sockets, to the amount of money in your paycheck, there is no end to the Obama left's assault on your liberty. And the woefully ignorant American people voted for it -- twice.

So, to all you 12-year-old girls out there, screw to your heart's content. Your school will get you all the contraceptive you need. Just don't you dare be eating a cookie while you're doing it. And if you get pregnant, it's taxpayer-funded abortions abound! Just don't you dare be drinking a soda while you're sitting waiting for the school nurse. That might be grounds for expulsion.

What a sick f**king country we've turned into.

Let’s do something about it now.

Anyone with a brain knows the Halfrican is a damned phony sociopathic narcissist that uses a dead man’s social security number.

With a proper lean government this creek would be dragged out of his shamba.

The Musical Magical Muslim Marxist Mulatto knows exactly what he is doing.

God ordains—places and removes kingdoms and governments and kings.

Apparently, if not evidently, we have pissed God off. Ergo, Barack Hussein Obama.

Pray on your knees for grace and protection is the best option at this point.

There is nothing that can be done with the Congress we now have. Not one of them has the guts to even look at that Social security number.

With the crap they are feeding these kids in school is it any wonder they are black marketing candy bars?

Both from my school days and those of my kids, a lot of school organizations sell what the government calls junk food for fund raising projects. In small schools the sales of food concessions at football and especially basketball games are a major source of revenue for bands, FFA, booster groups etc. I suppose government nannies will now dictate that only fresh fruit and granola can be sold by school organizations.

If the government really wanted to encourage healthy eating why not limit what can be purchased with food stamps? Every time I go to my local grocery, I see people buying, chips, soda pop, snack foods, candy and other junk foods with their EBT card. In my state beer, wine and liquor may be sold and purchased in grocery stores and I often see the same people who buy their junk food with an EBT card then pay cash for for an equal or greater amount of beer and liquor.

Candy and soft drinks were not available at the schools I attended in the fifties and early sisties.
They weren’t that readily available at home either! I survived.
I don’t want the government involved in my food choices in any way, but when did this stuff start being available in schools anyway?

My mother worked in our school cafeteria when I was growing up in the 50’s. She took the menus the school sent them, and then jazzed them up a bit with some spicing and other innovations. (My mom was a great down home cook!)

The did have a dessert on the menu every day—often is was cookies. My mom was known far and wide for her chocolate cookies—LOL!

She also made fruit pies with whatever fruit was in season. She made individual fruit pies, which she baked in the oven. They were a favorite of the kids.

I don’t recall more than a half dozen kids in our school that had what one would term a weight problem.
