The point here is not one of doom and gloom, and that everyone should be amassing food in great store, digging underground bunkers, collecting water by the 100s of gallons; of which we have done none of these things. It is simply to illustrate that if one is still wearing rose-colored glasses, as I was, now may be the time to take them off and consider what is really happening around us. It is not only gas prices; it is the exponential increase in any number of items that the rising fuel prices have caused. Take a moment, although I would suggest an hour or even a couple days, to be truthful with yourself about your situation. In those moments of honesty, look about you and examine your own unique circumstances. What is your Achilles heel? Is it a lack of economic preparedness when you are wasting resources on three pairs of the same shoes all in different colors? Is your weakness lack of spiritual preparedness, in that you do not know where you stand or what you believe, so that you are easily led astray? Are you distracted from your purpose by bright

Where do you get yours?
Do you go to the store for it? In a car? Who provides your gas?
Where does your water come from? Is it a municipal source? Or did someone have to dig a well?
Or do you just expect the stuff to miraculously appear on your table every night?

So do you buy more than one day of food at a time? You never answered the question.

Listen, I'm not telling you to put your faith in God. If you think that only you can provide for yourself, by all means, don't let me or anyone else dissuade you. Then why do you work for a living? Don't you trust God enough to provide you with money, just like the entitlement minded welfare deadbeats? Shouldn't He just drop it out of the sky for you? If you're working for it yourself, that proves that you don't have enough faith to trust Him to provide.

Your ignoring it has been duly noted.

God provided me a job with which to make money, to trade with my free will for what I want. If I choose to trade it all for food, but not provide myself with clothes, that is due to my poor choices, not lack of God's Providence. If I choose to spend it all on a car, and do not buy myself food, again, that's my poor choice, not God's lack of caring for me.
God has yet to provide me with an EBT card or manna from Heaven, so I must do as He leads in how He wants me to prepare. We must all follow His leading; if you're not being led in this direction, fine, but do not assume that those that are being led are showing a lack of faith. We're all in different places in our journey. Joseph was acting on faith when he followed God's leading in preparing for the seven years of famine during the seven years of plenty.

Keep reminding Gods people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.

One DAY of food?
Not by the meal or bite?
Isn’t buying a whole day’s worth at a a time mini-prepping?
I mean really, where’s the faith for the next meal or next bite?

Also would you mind answering post 35?
Do you have a spare tire? Do you have health, car, home, life insurance? You have smoke alarms in your house? If someone is breaking into your house along with prayer do you call 911, if your house is on fire do you pray and call the fire department?

IMO, people should pray for guidance and then listen to the Holy Spirit. God has a plan for each of us and its usually not the same one.
I have done so and thank God for the finances and ability to provide for my family.

I guess my faith is weak. If it was stronger I should be able to sit down at the table and pray and a plate full of loaves and fishes should appear.

I use the label of heretic based on the use of false doctrine to lead believers astray.
Just because someone can quote the Bible doesn’t mean they should be listened too.

Notice how he disappeared. It gives the appearance he was using Gods Word to spread discord among believers.

I was expounding on your question.
Does he indeed buy more than one day’s worth of food at a time?
Or one meal’s worth? Where’s his faith for the next meal?

That's ok. Romans 14 was written for people like us.
