This Passover, Free Us From A Failed Jewish Leadership
American Thinker ^ | April 23, 2011 | Stella Paul

This week is Passover, the season of deliverance, and I'm praying for deliverance from America's failed Jewish leadership. As Jews confront the most dangerous era since World War II, whom are we stuck with for leaders? A clueless bunch of mini-Pharaohs, strutting around proclaiming their moral superiority, blissfully unaware the Jewish people's mortal enemies are pulling down their pants and laughing at them.

Cataloguing their collective acts of evasion, cowardice, appeasement, and surrender is not for the faint of heart, but, luckily, I'm fortified by matzo balls and ready to rock. At the Passover Seder, Jews recite Dayenu, a prayer listing the many blessings bestowed by the Almighty, each of which would have sufficed (Dayenu) in its own right.

Here, alas, is a woeful Dayenu of the failures of the American Jewish establishment. Can anyone tell me why these preening big shots haven't been forced to resign in shame? Why, in God's name, are our purported "leaders" still collecting cushy paychecks when their credibility is bankrupt?

If they only had allowed a storm of anti-Semitism to rise in the West, and hate crimes against American Jews to skyrocket to unprecedented heights, while they declined to muster even a listless response -- Dayenu -- they would have failed.

If they only had stood aside, shrugging, while America's college campuses became battlegrounds in the war against Israel, where anti-Semitic lies were force-fed to America's next generation of leaders, and Jewish students were intimidated and taught self-hatred and alienation from their own identities -- Dayenu -- they would have failed.

If they only had refused to educate the Jewish people about the threat from Islam, and remained silent about the long history of Jews forced to live as dhimmis under Muslim rule -- Dayenu -- they would have failed.

A bit hyperbolic..I’m sure no one “let” these things happen, but it does express my frustration nicely. Maybe it will wake-up a few sleepers.

American “Jews” are primarily “Jews” In Name Only.

My niece gave her Bat Mitzvah speech in which she denied the existence of G-d, and everyone clapped politely.

I believe this is the primary position of the majority of Jews (”JINOs”) in America: G-d does not exist.

The Democrat Party, though, is the font of all goodness. They do worship the Party.

The Democrat Party cannot muster a majority in favor of Israel with Jerusalem as its Capitol.

So, Jews in America have sold their patrimony. They and their erstwhile brethren will likely be slaughtered for their perfidy.

“My niece gave her Bat Mitzvah speech in which she denied the existence of G-d, and everyone clapped politely.”

That’s stunning.

As a Jew who attended a Seder last night, in a County where there are very few Jews but the ones here are Conservative. I am asking you to please stop generalizing. I can say the same thing about Catholics. But I don’t because I don’t paint with broad brushes.

69% of Jews believe in 0bama and voted for him.

48% of Jews believe in G-d and agree he exists.

Jews believe in 0bama more than G-d by 21%.

For centuries, Jews lamented the loss of the Temple. Now that its reconstruction is within easy grasp, it appears they really don’t want it. I guess the obligations it implies would make life too difficult. Sometimes doing the right thing is not easy. Sometimes Hashem has to nudge people to do the right thing. Sometimes He has to has to force their hands.

OMG...denied the existence of GOD!! Good things will NOT happen to that girl and the people that APPLAUDED her.

AT the family Seder last nite, God was only mentioned twice and that was in the same sentence at the very end. I was shocked.

The electoral facts speak for themselves. It’s not (for me) a matter of anyones’ feelings being hurt. In the nice glow of a Seder among friends of yours, it’s natural to feel like you are among Jews who revere their faith and traditions.

“So, Jews in America have sold their patrimony. They and their erstwhile brethren will likely be slaughtered for their perfidy.”

Add in the inherent treason of communism, a political movement in which American Jews were vastly over-represented in, and one can’t help wondering about the limits of the alleged patience of the Almighty.

69 is an improvement of several percent.

This trend keeps going and Jewish will be majority Republican in 3 elections.

That’s very signatificant.

I predict that non-Orthodox Jews will return en masse to Democrats (voting 80%+) when they aren't lead by an Anti-Israel Pro-Muslim-Brotherhood closet Anti-Semite.

On the other hand, Orthodox Jews (the ones who still believe in G-d) voted Republican! Check this out:

"72% of non-Orthodox and 14% of Orthodox Jews voted for Obama."

http://www.jpost.com/Opinion/Op-Ed-Contributors/Washington-Watch-Are-Jewish-voting-patterns-changing

And we know who is having babies:

"As against the overall average of 1.86 children per Jewish woman, an informed estimate gives figures ranging upward from 3.3 children in "modern Orthodox" families to 6.6 in Haredi or "ultra-Orthodox" families to a whopping 7.9 in families of Hasidim."

http://www.aish.com/jw/s/48899452.html

One of my favorite thoughts is "F*** for the Future!"

And Orthodox couples are doing that for us. Eventually, Judaism will be composed of believing Jews again.

G-d willing.

This is a well-written article from 2011, and the issues mentioned are still present to the same degree or more so compared to two years ago. The pun on the Passover song "Dayenu" ("Enough") is clever. Notice that the authoress, though, fails to name the guilty individuals and organizations to which she is referring - perhaps purposefully.

I can think of at least two national Jewish organizations offhand that deserve to not be lumped together with the rest in this critique: the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) and the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA).

My niece gave her Bat Mitzvah speech in which she denied the existence of G-d, and everyone clapped politely.

The underlying problem there in the Reform rabbi (or "rabbiness") who planted that idea into your niece's still-developing brain. There are too many Reform rabbis who are too far gone to serve as respectable leaders of congregations or teachers of youth.

What is the organization structure or structures of modern Judaism? Is there any kind of modern version of the ancient priesthood? Is there any form of generally accepted dogma or teaching authority?

What is the organization structure or structures of modern Judaism? Is there any kind of modern version of the ancient priesthood? Is there any form of generally accepted dogma or teaching authority?

This is a complex question, and a short answer like this can't possibly do justice to the subject.

There is no single central authority of American Judaism, but rather a myriad of Jewish organizations which represent various political and/or religious viewpoints within the American Jewish community. Each organization has its membership and bylaws, and some of them budget to engage in political activities.

The closest entity to an organization that would claim it has the most widespread support is the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish organizations, which is an "umbrella" organization with about 50 major Jewish organizations as components. The original idea behind the founding of the Conference of Presidents in the 1950s was the need for the American Jewish community speak with a unified voice in representing the security interests of Israel within American political circles.

In terms of dogma or teaching authority, there are several religious movements within American Judaism, primarily Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform, which seperately train and ordain their respective rabbis who act as teachers within their congregations and communities.

The teachings of these movements differ to quite an extent, and there are even differences with each movement.

If you mean within traditional historic Judaism, there is still an acknowledged division of Kohen (Priest), Levi and Israel in Jewish law.
