Members of the Westboro church showed up today in Moore, Oklahoma to protest the funeral of a child killed in the Moore Tornado. Approximately 100 members of Patriot Guard Bikers showed up to provide a hedge between the cult church and the persons attending the funeral.
It is my understanding the members of the Westboro Church were arrested for not acquiring a permit to protest and are currently being booked into the Moore City Jail. It is expected that processing and arraignment will not be completed until sometime after the Holiday weekend.
Oklahoma.... is this a great state or what?

These folks came to my small city last weekend to "protest" and show their butts at the 4 lărgest churches and at a couple of other places. They intended to spend 15 minutes at each place. In front of the big Catholic Church one of them got into a wreck with a citizen as they were arriving and had most of the police in the city all over them. I don't know who was at fault because I did not see it happen, just saw all the cops and the bulk of them, maybe all of them, departing. I wondered what they thought they were accomplishing. A 15 minute protest seems pretty perfunctory.

I often wonder if the members of Westboro really think that Jesus would be hanging with them and participating in their “activities”. Or if the Holy Spirit is alive and well in their church.
In my opinion, They’re doing it wrong.

Oklahoma.... is this a great state or what? I can't help but think in the future Oklahoma will be one of the few states joining Texas in making the last stand for the former America.

The people in the Moore and Shawnee areas are probably a tad testy.
Now is not the time for Westboro-type silliness.
The locals just aren’t in the mood for it.

They are all of them lawyers and they make their money as a lawsuit operation. If anyone touches one of them or says anything that could be construed as a bodily threat they go to court and for many other things, too. They sue the local governments and individuals and any other persons or organizations that can be construed as “offending” them. They lose most times, I think but the lottery nature of American civil proceedings is such that they maintain some generous funding.

I always wondered how they could afford to travel all over and they don’t seem to have jobs. Your post answers my question.

Approximately 100 members of Patriot Guard Bikers showed up to provide a hedge The Patriot Guard must have tremendous self control. I salute them! I'd be inclined to kick a little Westboro ass, so they wouldn't be so interested in going to the next protest.
