This video speaks volumes about the people who are in law enforcement today. Unfortunately a lot of these people were thugs and bullies as kids, give them a gun and a badge and you have amplified their flawed personalities. The sad thing is that lawsuits against police departments hurt the taxpayers. The officers in this video should not be in law enforcement because they do not respect the US constitution .
That would work for videoing things when you are out of your car but withing WiFi range, but for a traffic stop like this they would find the laptop and router when they searched.
Now that I am thinking about it, there are routers with SD card slots. I wonder if you could bypass the laptop and stream directly to the router SD card?
Until the American people start demanding that the legal system indict, try, convict, sentence, and publicly punish at least one traitor, this kind of gang rape of the Constitution will continue.
Tennessee.
Agreed.
These are the type of LEO who WILL do Hussein’s bidding against Americans, despite usually pretending to be conservatives.
There are also dedicated systems and services available.
“They have WiFi cameras, but that would require a laptop and router in your car to stream video to the laptop hard drive. “
Actually, laptop WiFi has the capability of connecting point-to-point with a single other wifi device. That’s called an “ad hoc” network. Fairly easy to set up a wifi profile for such a device on the laptop. Not sure about the ad hoc capabilities of the various wifi cameras, though.

Most PDA-tye phones can stream realtime across 4G — no special anything needed except a cell tower signal.
I have my hotspot set to run live from my notebook camera should I choose to do so. That is connected by an HTTP link to my web-presence via a secure “camera surveillance link” that loads to my “cloud” service. I can, if required, prop-up my notebook to record and upload on the passenger dashboard; that is unless LEO physically disables (AKA, smashes) my property during their “legal search”. Even then, some portion of video will have been uploaded.
Just like LEO can request security footage from retail cameras, they should also be aware that individuals can provide them with evidence of their “activities” during a stop.
Or just tell them it's streaming live to the interwebs, and any action they take against the camera will itself be recorded.
I am pretty sure a camera would use DHCP. Ad hoc uses a fixed IP address.
Freepers who don’t fight this at every opportunity are sunshine patriots.
Such a device is not readily available other than iPhone/Android apps, and those aren't that fast and bandwidth is expensive.
I know because I have been looking into it.
If you know of a reasonably fast, reasonably inexpensive solution, let me know.
So if the stop to check is legal..the check is legal.....that why I simple turn around at check points..I decline to be stopped and checked and not going through a checkpoint is not probably cause to be stopped.
If you accept the premises of being check at passing a point you accept what it for and what comes with it..got right alone with crossing a state border, going in a public building or court house security , going through customs or boarding a plane
someone said this was tennesse. does anyone know more specifically , I was think of sending a nice email to a state rep asking if they train these officers in correct procedure, seeing as they got so many things wrong.
You have no idea what it means to be a freeman. You justify a police state because you are a coward. Even in the midst of America’s first security state takeover, you fold like a cheap suit to OBVIOUS abuse. Please cancel your account.
“As I see it, he did his thing, and the officers did theirs.”
The problem is, what he did was completely lawful, and what the officers did was completely unlawful.
If they tried you could say something to them like “Do you think that’s the only camera I have recording you?”
I wouldn’t advise that, they would just rip the car apart to find any other devices. You say that to them in court, after you have submitted the surviving recordings into evidence :)
“Dont pull over and dont get out of the car unless LEO can articulate a reason for detaining you. If you decide to get out of the car, lock the doors and take the keys with you.”
Waste of time.
They will just bring the drug-detection k-9 out — and detain you until the k-9 unit gets there.
The dog will walk around your car and give a signal which allows them to search your car.
