Push of a Button: This Is How Fast the Entire Banking System Can Be Locked Down
Freedom Outpost ^ | December 25, 2013 | Mac Slavo

Late last week it was learned that some 40 million charge cards were obtained using physical processing systems located in Target retail locations nationwide. Though no details of the how the hack attack was executed have been released by Target, the FBI or other agencies investigating the breach, it is likely that the processing machines themselves were compromised. Target claims that the hack was sophisticated, but on the technical side, once hackers found a way into the credit card processing machines, probably via remote entry from servers somewhere in Eastern Europe or Russia, the theft of credit card data itself would have been fairly straight forward by using scripts or applications that simply capture the data and send it off to servers owned by the hackers.

This was probably one of the largest credit card thefts in history, though it is not at all surprising. Two years ago we noted that cyber attacks would soon be targeting America’s e-commerce systems and just a few months ago it was noted that rogue terrorist groups were specifically working on sabotage operation to bring down the U.S. economy. While this latest attack on Target stores and their customers fell far short of crashing our economy or financial system, it proves, as did recent breaches of Pentagon military networks, that even the most highly secured systems in the world can be compromised.

Furthermore, what this attack highlights is that with the right type of “event” the economy and financial system of the United States can be shut down… almost instantly.

Though no details of the how the hack attack was executed have been released by Target, the FBI or other agencies investigating the breach,...

Not by those agencies, no, but more info has already been tracked down, not that anyone seems to be noticing or referencing it! Someone needs to send an email or several to those clueless dupes that they need to look beyond their own inter-agency's reports to find other-than-one's-own-company information.

There is a large segment of society just ITCHING for chaos of some significant sort so they can loot, burn, assault, you name it. And when that happens, those on the opposing side may just be pushed to their limits. It’s close.

This is what happens in a cashless society. The electricity goes off and we’re screwed. And if you admit you got cash stashed away, remember, they’re listening and watching. Man, paranoia is a bitch!

-all at the hand of one man...

all at the hand of one PERSON...

Obungbreath is only loosely defined as a man by the standard of many, and then usually by the type of Liberal -I mean, "looney-tunes" that also qualifies PeeWee Herman as a man. *snicker*

I have myself on lockdown due to people dying of H1N1 in my county and I can't take the vaccine shot which has H1N1 vaccine in it.

I found out these people had died and, by the way, H1N1 appears to cause kidney failure as each one with it, including a guy in Fort Worth, had kidney failure. It was announced last Wednesday and I haven't left my house since then. Our state health agency plus the CDC were involved in finding out why these four people in the county died, then the guy in Fort Worth died with it.

It was no problem for me to stay in my house and need nothing for as long as I need to stay in. Now, we come to this problem of the banking system could be cut off by punching a button. That is no different than H1N1 instantly stopping me from leaving my house. Once the banks are off line, everything stops. No truck will leave the home base until money is sent by the bank to pay for that shipment. When no money can be sent, no truck is moving and no food is delivered. Plus, NO FUEL is delivered to power companies to produce electricity.

Plus, we read the Muslim president we have could also cut off everything instantly. He is a danger to this country and I'm sure would clap his hands in glee if every Christian had no food and no water as water will also not continue to come out of the faucet.

I don't need Hussein to stay alive and have a decent standard of living. He can't hurt me if he flips the switch and stops everything. I'm also not afraid of some terrorist group overseas destroying banking through the internet as I don't need that to live, either. It will be just like right now, I'm not leaving my house and I have what I need.

What will be a tragedy is the vast majority of people have nothing stored. Plus, people in hospitals will die. People who have to use oxygen plugged into the wall will die.

I must tell you this story. You have read of my liberal to the left of Stalin, sister-in-law. She just turned into a prepper due to my being able to stay in my house with H1N1 virus out there. You see, she has a lung problem that has almost killed her and she has been told by her doctor this week not to take that vaccine due to her lung problem. She is now afraid she will get that virus and die which she would with her lungs like they are. She is not a smoker and it was two serious forms of mold behind the walls in her rented house that has almost killed her. She can't live in that house and is staying in an apartment at this time until they decide where to live in that town.

She said to me on the phone today that since I have been giving them survival equipment at Christmas for several years, if she stored food, they wouldn't have to leave the house either, if H1N1 comes there. She now wishes she had the stored food I have and she is not laughing at me anymore.

I expect she is sending the husband to buy canned food but he thinks if he buys a barrel of rice and one of beans, that is all they need. So, the tide has turned for them but it took the fright of her dying and my locking myself in needing nothing, before she could take action to save herself.

What is the big deal? Store water and food and have a way to stay warm or cool, have two ways at least to cook food, and have a way to have light at night. Have medicines so you don't have to go to a doctor's office where sick people are. People who jump on people who prep, are crazy people and one of these days, an emergency will hit them without their being prepared.

They’ve created a system which is unsecure and is easily abused to steal money and ruin peoples lives.

I've had two known cases of identity theft occur against me. In the last case, someone opened a cell phone account in Philadelphia using my name and SS number (I live in CA). I've received notices from two former employers and the VA that my personal info(along with hundreds or thousands of others) may have been compromised. Even with vigilance, there is no way to safeguard your personal data.

But, other than some legal shenanigans to show that the phone account couldn't be mine, I've been spared any real damage. I believe the reason for that is that my credit score is horrible - not because I've misbehaved, but because I'VE NEVER HAD A CREDIT CARD OR BOUGHT ANYTHING ON CREDIT with one minor exception when I was young. Thus, I have a low credit score, and a false cell phone account is about the biggest thing that identity thieves could squeeze out of my low rating, heh. My reaction to that was to have my credit record frozen because, hey, I don't use credit anyway. If I could have my entire credit report wiped and just a big e-notice to any vendor not to give credit to me, that would be fine.

I've always looked at debt as a form of slavery. I honestly can't imagine living on credit cards and loans the way a lot of people have.

Well, there is also a significant portion of society that is just itching for these looters to bring it on so we, *cough*, I mean they, can get some payback.

That’s a big bit of news, Marcella - both of your S-I-L, and the H1N1 situation.

Too bad it took such dire things to get your SIL on board, but at least she's finally on board and still alive.

You stay safe Miss Marcella. My mother can't take the flu vaccine either, and my Dad come down with almost pneumonia just before Christmas, so I understand the trouble.
