“Top 10 Reasons Mohammed is NOT a Prophet of God”
Coach is Right ^ | 2/3/14 | Doug Book

Unlike Mohammed, a Prophet of God does NOT hope to garner loyalty by promising his followers that they may kill his enemies, steal their property and sell their families into slavery. Add to these slight dispositional shortcomings the “Top Ten Reasons Mohammed is NOT a Prophet of God” as posted on Patriot’s Billboard:

1) It is impossible that a man in his mid-50s could engage in sexual intercourse with a nine-year-old child, and be a prophet of God.

2) It is impossible that a man could finance his religious and political community by robbing...

Wasn’t David guilty of similar things with Bathsheba and her husband?

Amend the details just a little bit and you have the behaviors of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.

Unfortunately, the premise of this article is incorrect. Prophets of God were flawed individuals who engaged in sinful acts. Considering these brutal acts in the aggregate would certainly bring his status as “prophet of God” into question, but any individual act would not disqualify him.

God’s people have been called upon to do some pretty grizzly stuff. Read your Bibles! God was not pleased when the Jews did not engage in what we would call genocide today as they entered Canaan after wandering the desert for 40 years.

Deuteronomy 13:1-5 gives some illuminating requirements for a prophet of God.

(1)They must not cause the people of God to follow after other gods.

I think Mohammed fails in this one by denying the divinity of Jesus and on other counts, as well.

(2)Whatever they prophecy must come to pass without fail.

I suspect that we could find some unfulfilled prophecies in the Koran.

Just a minor point.....David is generally considered a king not a prophet. David the king had Nathan the prophet to instruct him concerning God’s wishes for his rule

(Also, Jews and Christians are free to criticize David...as we are doing...and to learn from his mistakes.....)

So there are some good reasons to avoid relying too much on that comparison...

More importantly, its impossible that a living man could see God's face and live; even Moses was not allowed to do this.

Let’s see, Mohammed was a thief, kidnapper, rapist, murderer, coward who had others do his dirty work, a demonic necromancer, pedophile, braggart, ignorant, degenerate halfwit, and his followers make themselves as bad as he was.

God wouldn’t give such a fool prophetic knowledge, but a god contorted out of hodgepodge mythology would.
