John Kerry slammed “extreme” climate change “deniers” in Indonesia Sunday, calling them members of the “Flat Earth Society.”
Mr. Kerry, speaking in Jakarta, demonized those who do not believe in climate change, claiming they were “hijacking the climate conversation” and were being paid by “big companies.”
“We should not allow a tiny minority of shoddy scientists and science and extreme ideologues to compete with scientific facts,” he warned. “Nor should we allow any room for those who think that the costs associated with doing the right thing outweigh the benefits.”
Mr. Kerry then exclaimed, “The science is unequivocal, and those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand. We don’t have time for a meeting anywhere of the Flat Earth Society.”

Science is “settled” when a theory can be proven in a repeatable manner by other scientists, and even then attempts to disprove the theory are welcomed as opportunities to further understand the world around us, if the initially settled theory is proven false, it is a good thing for science.
None of this is true to climate change believers, contrary evidence is sneered at when it isn’t shouted down, data is hoarded instead of shared and experiments cant be repeated to judge the reliability of results. it’s high time their beliefs are considered a religion and henceforth banned from schools.

We will not allow debate on this subject. Even though 95% of the scientific models have been wrong on the average earth temperature rise we have to believe these guys because they are experts. If I remember history correctly the flat earthers and the sun traveling around the earth guys were the status quo and they were shutting down debate with those who disagreed.
You've got it backwards, John. Five hundred of our human years is a nanosecond on the geological scale, during which the polar ice caps have melted and refrozen countless times, and entire life forms (think dinosaurs) once dominant, have been wiped away. Ponder the walls of fossilized sea shells that make up a gully in country more than 35 miles inland from the sea. Note the topography in Florida that marks where the coastline used to be; geologists figure that was about 125,000 years ago. Thinking that in a few decades we could recognize, let alone manipulate, significant climate change, is wholesale lunacy.
You guys are the "flat earthers."
And if you think that anyone believes you are telling the truth you think that you can walk on water.
