Please take a look at this report, I just got it and haven’t had a chance to verify the authenticity, but it seems important and real so I’m running with it.

These guys say they were at the Bundy standoff all week, and that there is much more to this than meets the eye.

Solution: Call and email the governor, telling him that tourism will be OVER and he will get no more $$$ in Las Vegas if anyone in the Bundy family is harmed.

I agree with what you said. I think patriots got pissed off and showed up because for what I consider a small land use problem the BLM showed up with a frigging army with drawn automatic weapons, pistols and police dogs for an old man. It surely pissed me off.
This should have been handled this differently

It might be a legal jurisdictional thing. Freeways are state owned and I suspect can only be shut down via the state police........

but even worse he failed to grasp the intensity of the individuals he faced. They were many, hardened, and extremely angry over the recent massacre of their civilians.

There were Indians from two groups which Custer would have expected to fight:
Free Indians, who had refused to go onto reservations, and who Custer was supposed to force to do so.
Reservation Indians who came out to fight alongside the others.

It isn't credible that Custer would have "failed to grasp the intensity" of those who would show up to fight, especially in light of attacks on Indian villages, killing of women and children and killing of their horses.

There were indeed "many, hardened, and extremely angry" warriors, among the world's best cavalry fighters, and Custer knew it. He just didn't know how many.
