Obama: Americans "better off" under his presidency

President Obama said Americans were “better off now than when I came into office,” during a fundraiser Monday night outside of Washington.

Obama also slammed congressional Republicans for their focus on the terror attack in Benghazi and the implementation of ObamaCare.

The president told attendees at the high-dollar soiree in Potomac, Maryland that his Republican opposition in Congress had been “captured by ideologues” whose principal focus was on “how to make people sufficiently skeptical, so they can win the next election.”

“The debate now is about what?” Obama asked. “Benghazi? ObamaCare? It becomes this endless loop.”

Obama told donors that he preferred a robust Republican Party — “I come from the Land of Lincoln” — but that the current iteration of the GOP did not believe “that government can get anything done.”

Obama’s remarks came at a fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee at the home of Jeffrey Drenzer, a medical training and technology executive. Tickets to the event, billed as an “intimate dinner,” ranged from $10,000 per person to $32,400 per couple.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), DCCC Chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), and Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley (D) joined a sizable contingent of House Democrats at the event, including Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and fellow Maryland Democrats Elijah Cummings, Chris Van Hollen, Donna Edwards, Dutch Ruppersberger, and John Delaney. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) was also in attendance.

On his way to the fundraiser, Obama stopped to chat with a group of little league teams at a Northwest D.C. baseball field. The president posed for pictures and quizzed the co-ed teams on their drills.

No doubt Hitler would have had no problem saying the same thing about the German people under his chancellorship.

“Obama: Americans “better off” under his presidency”

Well, I guess that I would have to agree, as long as one is a government dependent Marxist/Communist.
The America that I grew up in, running my own businesses, was the greatest country on earth.
Obumbo’s reelection really shocked me. I could not believe how far the country had fallen.

“Obama told donors that he preferred a robust Republican Party — “I come from the Land of Lincoln” — but that the current iteration of the GOP did not believe “that government can get anything done.”

Oh, we know government can get ‘things done’. It's just that a large number of those ‘things’ government gets done are bad things that take liberty from people and suppress the population. I'm sure King George ‘got things done’ (e.g. “The Stamp Act” and other levies and tariffs), but we dumped him.

What we don't need are more people who think they're ‘gifted’ because they went to an elite university, who then skip the ‘real job’ route and go straight into political activism and political careers - like Obama, the Clintons, and the vast majority of those selected by Obama into the current administration.

The framers might have done us a service if they mandated that no one could hold political office who didn't spend at least four years in non-political private sector jobs first.

The President of the United States, the leader of the Free World is unable to utter a single word of truth.

Even Clinton injected some truth into his statements.

This state of affairs is sad and pathetic. It will become very, very dangerous.

“The White House pointed out to Clark that Obama’s visit to the little leaguers came ahead of his planned trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.”

They weren’t so smart to mention that. It’s obvious that he wanted to make mention of his stop to visit little leaguers to impress the people at the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Yes, but a significant segment of the American people do believe they are “better off” now than they were six years ago. Americans as a whole are too uninformed to know better.

But it’s exhilarating to millions of the uninformed in the USA, not “dangerous” at all as they see it.

Better off since his presidency? His big mouth and travel agent just said the other day there is still segregation and racism, how can that be?
We have a dead Ambassador, three other dead people and no answers as to why,I know, what difference does it make?
An IRS that target people the President does not like, the same thing an article of impeachment was written against Richard Nixon, thousands of guns that were sent to MEXICAN drug cartels and were used to kill our border agent and hundreds of MEXICAN men women and children, and we supplied guns to Alqueda to try to oust Assad, the same Alqueda that killed our troops.
This country surely has changed and we are so much better off
