“”Our response was in line with routine procedures focused on school safety.””
And school safety was certainly jeopardized because of a drawing that resembled a gun.....
Can we please line up all these imbeciles with this train of thinking and let us see what real idiocy looks like? I want to see these people up close. They need to be made a spectacle for all the world to see.

“community” gets used a lot in this story.
I’m really starting to hate that word and how it’s used.
Oh...
Was that hate speech?

This S3it again? Elementary Schools across the land....STOP ASKING those trap door questions, and then being so ‘shocked’ when the kids answer you, or you will start being accused of entrapment. You really want to take your NO TOLERANCE that far?

Off to re-education camp with him! How dare he mention, draw or even think about dastardly guns, guns he sees on display on almost every TV program and cartoon show available. How dare he.

So ...
You're sitting at your desk ... just you, a piece of paper and a pencil .... and you draw a picture AS DRECTED.
The teacher sees what you've done and separates you from everyone so the teacher can criticize you and your work ...
and an entire learning community (whatever THAT is) is disrupted ?
Would someone PLEASE teach the teachers to comprehend the English language and use it correctly.
Your honor, this child interfered with the daily routine of untold hundreds of people because of his drawing.

This is emblematic on the war on boyhood. The ‘community’ has no desire to have boys that act like boys. They want eunuchs that act like little girls. If they have male thoughts, feelings or actions they will be humiliated, punished or drugged into submission.

Good thing it didn’t go off.
When I was a kid, we had toy guns, we played war, we watched “Combat” and “Twelve O’Clock High” and reenacted the shows during recess (!). We drew picutres of guns and air and tank battles for art class, and amazingly we had no casualties.

Time to start giving teachers like this a little prison time.
Seriously.

Has a student been punished yet for making a 'gun' with his thumb and forefinger? If not, only a matter of time ...

This is why liberals must oppose school choice. The little people mustn’t have the option of removing their children from government schools.

Always assume the gun is loaded - even if it is drawn with crayons.

I do not think they went far enough, the Teacher told him to draw what he saw when a gun shaped cloud was in the air, so the Teacher was at fault, the Teacher failed to check the cloud, or seeing the gun cloud set the kid up. The Teacher should be punished.
