Chicago Changes Voting Rules to Benefit Democrats this November

In a city where you need two forms of identification just to purchase a parking pass, but none to vote, claims by Democrats that they want to preserve election integrity by allowing same-day voter registration and extended early voting in Chicago and rest of the State of Illinois don’t exactly ring true.

In what will only apply to this November’s election, Illinois Gov. Quinn is expected to sign a bill into law this summer that will allow same-day voter registration, expand early voting to the Sunday before the election, remove the photo identification requirement for early voting and permit students at Illinois public universities to absentee vote at select on-campus locations, all without voters ever having to show a government issued ID.

“Democracy works best when everyone has the opportunity to participate,” Quinn said.

Conservative Chicagoans aren’t buying the holier than thou attitude by Democrats. According to one online commentator, “it gives the Dems more opportunity to get out the slacker vote. The kind of people who don’t have their act together. The same people looking for freebies and Dem handouts,”

According to the Chicago Tribune, “many election authorities lobbied against opening same-day registration in every state election precinct, fearing that they would be technologically unable to make sure someone didn’t register and vote in one precinct, and do the same later in another.” And we all know that would never happen in Chicago.

Last minute voter registration it also allows illegal immigrants to participate in the voting process, as there will be no citizenship verification at the polls. Since this isn’t a national election, non-eligible voters sometimes believe that living in the city is enough of a requirement for them to vote – I know it sounds crazy, but it’s been done before – and it’s not likely that Democrats will help alleviate them of their misunderstanding.

It also brings to question why the law will only be in effect this November. Patty Schuh, spokeswoman for the state Senate Republicans, said “you have to be suspicious when, if it’s good public policy, why only impact it for one year.”

Illinois raised tax rates by 67% in 2011 promising that it would be temporary. Now they want to make it permanent, which means that every Chicago liberal who gets to the polls is critical to cancel out mostly conservative rest of the state.

James Kuklinski, professor of political science at the University of Illinois, said “the general view is that these kind of last-minute registration procedures essentially help Democrats more than Republicans.” Yes, we know.

In all fairness to the ‘RATS, it does take the average very low information ‘RAT voter 2 to 3 weeks to fill out one ballot alone. Multiple voting can take up a lot of their low information voter’s time.

Is there anything other than Democrats in Chicago?

Is it even possible to make the Chicago voting rules more favorable to the Dems??? I mean, if the race is remotely close, they just have 5,000 or 10,000 dead people vote.

Knock me over with a feather - leftists changing the rules to benefit themselves instead of having a fair and level playing field?

Does anyone expect anything different from a state that is morally bankrupt and fiscally broke, has most of it past living governors in prison, and gave us the worst President in the history of this Republic? Other than Democrat politics, can the Governor give any cogent reason for not requiring a voter ID?

The most significant election fraud in the nation’s history occurred in Illinois in 1960. It resulted in the election of Kennedy and his ilk. It marks the beginning of the descent of the country into neo pagan decadence and decline.

I think I'll be a couple of students this year in Illinois ... and a few newly transferred employees ... and a handful of migrant workers ...

Then I'll go to church and ask God to forgive me because I have a serious day tomorrow enrolling in a few more schools ...

Gilding the Lily?

Coals to Newcastle?

Was there a lack of Democrat autocracy in Chicago?

This can only be a SAVE DICK DURBIN SEAT BILL.

Republicans are running a very solid (but still longshot) candidate in Jim Oberweis.

Latest poll has durbin up 52-39.

On the bright side Republicans are never going to win in Chicago anyway.

“Since this isn’t a national election, non-eligible voters sometimes believe that living in the city is enough of a requirement for them to vote “

Umm..... They will be voting for US representatives and a US senator. The only “national” election is for president.

Don’t let illegal aliens vote!

Is it even possible to make the Chicago voting rules more favorable to the Dems???

They could give out ballots that thoughtfully display only Democrat candidates.

Chicago Changes Voting Rules to Benefit Democrats this November

Since he was given his walking papers by the American electorate decades ago, Jimmuh Carter has trapsed around the world "observing" elections, ostensibly ensure fairness. Meanwhile, back here they have become more and more corrupt due to the efforts of the socialist demokratic party and the morons running the GOP-E.

If Democrats feel the need to goose the vote in Chicago, I’d say that’s a good sign.
