Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad to Feds: Don't Dump Illegals in My State
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | July 14, 2014 | Tony Lee

After the federal government surreptitiously dumped illegal immigrants in Nebraska last week without informing its governor, Republican Iowa Governor Terry Branstad told federal officials Monday that he did not want his state hosting any illegal immigrant children.

“The first thing we need to do is secure the border. I do have empathy for these kids,” Branstad said, according to the Associated Press. “But I also don’t want to send the signal that (you) send your kids to America illegally. That’s not the right message.”

Branstad also "said he was not aware of any of the children currently living in Iowa" and that his "state has not been contacted by the federal government about housing any immigrant children."

Federal officials have been scrambling – and facing more local resistance – as the government deals with the at least 57,000 illegal immigrant children who have unlawfully crossed the border since October of last year. Officials expect at least 150,000 more will attempt to do so next year. Nearly 75% of those illegal immigrant children are from Central America....

Hopefully this children’s invasion is a bridge too far for the traitorous low-life Obama+Democrats and we get a turn around in our countries presidency and politics

Branstad: Don’t send immigrant children to Iowa

The flood of immigrant children who have crossed the United States-Mexico border illegally are not welcome in Iowa, said Gov. Terry Branstad, who contends President Barack Obama needs to take steps to toughen border security.

“The first thing we want is to secure the border,” Branstad told reporters Monday at his weekly Statehouse news briefing. “I do want empathy for these kids, but I do not want to send the signal to send these children to America illegally.”

Branstad returned to Iowa on Sunday night from Tennessee, where Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell met privately with dozens of governors. The Obama administration is trying to get support from the leaders of states that will host Central American children, 57,000 of whom have crossed the border from Mexico since Oct. 1.

It’s time to take a stand. The good governor should place his state guard around the camps and not let anyone out. Make the feds turn it into a Mexican standoff. Other governors should take the stand, too. Enough is enough.

Or my country!

Governors need to ‘opt out’ from this. Make it clear who wants their state invaded and the voters can decide.

“Go Terry!” cheers a grateful Iowan. We’re already overflowing with illegals. We don’t need to be planting the seeds for more into the indefinite future!

They are not Americans. They need to be sent home. We don’t need any more scumbags whining about American History being taught in OUR schools. We don’t need any more lowlife scumbags whining about having to learn OUR language. We don’t need any more lowlife scumbags whining about being offended by the American flag. We don’t need any more scumbags whining about “discrimination”. Send them home. I don’t care how old they are. They are not Americans. Send them home! Now!

I hear Barrow, Alaska is a pretty cool place. Mayhaps some of our undocumented guests could find new homes there?

Sadly he probably just guaranteed that the lawbreakers in the white hut send more of them to Iowa than they have sent anywhere else.

I'm against amnesty.

Still, I would like ask a question about the pro-amnesty people and their push to pass immigration reform that would give 11 million illegals a path to citizenship.

Here's my thinking: If the federal government cannot handle and process the 50 thousand to 200 thousand illegals flooding our southern border like in Texas, then how in the world is our government going to process 11 million illegals if the Senate immigration bill is ever passed?

Myself, I say that it would be an impossible task for our government to process smoothly all those 11,000,000 illegals already in this country.

So passing the Senate immigration bill giving 11 million illegals instant amnesty is wrong. It is not workable and would be a nightmare for years and years.

I suspect that the 11 million number is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY low if it was given out by the govt. At one time all we heard about was 40 million then the immigration ‘reform’ bill started making its way around DC and suddenly it’s 11 million.

I absolutely agree with you except I would say the number of illegals in this country is far more than 11 million and probably closer to 20 million, which is a number I have heard a lot.

But you are correct. If they cannot process the flood at the border, how can they ever hope to get through the millions upon millions in this country already?
