This thread’s scenario is “you’ve got one week”; get that shovel & box of seeds, yes, but don’t forget the 200 pounds of ready-to-use flour, yeast, and bottles of vitamin supplements to hold you thru until harvest.
BTW: 50 lbs of flour is $14 at Costco. Just checked yesterday. Far from ideal, but makes for a very easy, cheap, and effective disaster prep item.

Well you’re screwed, but the real question is whether you need a marinade or just bbq sauce.
Ever made hard tack? Flour, water, and salt and you have a filling if not so nutritional meal.

My clothes and vest are ready to evacuate for 24-48 hours.
I can grab the back pack for a 3-4 day survival.
My Next pack, on wheels, is for a week or more and contains shelter.
I prefer to shelter in place so have a “go back” pack in order to get home across the river if the causeways are closed.
I do not know what more I can do, right now. A more secure safe room is a plan.

Same ingredients, plus either purchased yeast or using sourdough starter (which is little more than wet flour left out for a few days). Makes really good bread.

It was 1998, when I thought about “no power” and what that would mean to my/and family, existence. Transportation would cease meaning NO TRUCKS. I spent a day writing down what I wouldn't have, starting with getting out of bed in the morning and lasting until I went to bed at night.
I have spent every year since then perfecting ways to live for a long time, over a year, with approximately the same living standard I have now. As new/better methods came about through the years to produce something I had to have, I updated to that method. I generally have three ways to accomplish a necessity. I sort of went overboard on ways to cook and ended up with seven ways. I hope I never have to use any of these preps.
You know we paid for the best prepared place in the world - and it's for for Muslim Obama and family. Don't know about you, but I think I'm as important as he is, so I used my own money to prepare a place for me/family.
I like hard tack for travel purposes but definately not for other uses.

There’s nothing you mentioned that I would need to rush out and get. Doesn’t mean I don’t need to get more stuff, just that I have a pretty good start.
Any good prep plan should have some thought as to how to replensih supplies in case of a long term situation leading to shortages of bare necessities.
That is a pretty good deal on flour. Flour, salt, leavening, sugar, and oil can give you a lot of goodies to go with the beans and rice.
