If you read Scripture, dogs are never spoken of with glowing terms. They're almost regarded as a nuisance, spoken about with contempt.

Even though Jesus himself said, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel"(Matthew 15:24), that doesn't mean that there are sheep in heaven.

Romans 8 makes it clear that all animals, upon death, go to heaven.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

If you’re a good person, believe in Jesus Christ, why would God keep your dog out of heaven— one of the most loyal, loving animals around? To make you sad in heaven, missing your dog?

If your take is animals are just here to serve man, why can’t they serve man in heaven? Why would this mean they would have to have a soul?

"All cats go to hell".

I take serious exception to your opinion, and so did Mark Twain:

"...Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat." - Notebook, 1894

‘Whatever animal walks on four paws among all animals, are unclean to you’ (Leviticus 11:27).

Whoever created the “sign war” images had their denominations reversed, as far as any official stance on the matter.

I’ll not be going to heaven to greet my dog nor cat, to see and reunite with my beloved relatives. I will be going to heaven to see and praise and worship my Savior, to see His face and to hear His voice.

I’m not interested in the ‘mansion’ nor the streets of gold, and crystal sea. I want to thank Him for saving me.

"I’ll not be going to heaven to greet my dog nor cat, to see and reunite with my beloved relatives. I will be going to heaven to see and praise and worship my Savior, to see His face and to hear His voice."

Revelation 5:11-13 suggests you won't be the only one offering worship and praise, and that at least a few critters will be there, too.

Will Rogers said, "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die, I want to go where they went".

Me, too.

Twain also wrote, (from memory): “The principle difference between a man and a dog is, if you take a starving dog and make him prosperous, he won’t bite you.”

The critters, whether or not they are there, are UNIMPORTANT and pale into insignificance compared to the Savior.

Monday, we lost our 13-year old Yellow Lab. He had a good life and made my son and my lives better. I am a Lutheran, trying to be a Christian and I firmly hope that God has created the Rainbow Bridge as the gateway to Heaven.

As I deal with the loss and the sorrow, I sure don't need to hear the pontificating of bigoted jerks like that Protestant Church that was part of the dueling signs.

If dogs don't go to heaven, perhaps the Good Lord is sending them to a better place, where the bigoted jerks won't be sent. Maybe Mark Twain was right about his definition of heaven, after all.

For me, I would rather join my beloved pups at the Rainbow Bridge than end up with the bigoted know-it-alls who form the backbone of organized religions. I am certain that God will be at the Rainbow Bridge.

"The critters, whether or not they are there, are UNIMPORTANT and pale into insignificance compared to the Savior."

Nobody says that they don't pale in significance to the Savior...which is precisely why ALL creation renders HIM praise in joined voices. Why would you believe that there were parts of HIS creation that would not be for HIS greater glory? Why would you belive that HIS significance was not significant enough to be recognized by all HIS creatures?
