I’m pleasantly surprised that the Emailer still has his job.

I’m also somewhat squishly on whether that message might not have been a tad much.

What makes Tyrel think he deserves a raise?

Seems like the job he does could be outsourced to india or a call center in Budapest for less than $15.00 per hour

The company was so pleased with him he’s now been given a job in the Liberian office.

Use the company's profits to give every employee a raise of $10,000.

Oh, isn't that sweet? Why only $10,000? Why not $100,000 each? Why not just divide up the profits equally among all workers at the end of the year? Who gives a s__t about the stockholders? Who gives a s___t about the fact that the entry level clerks don't do nearly as much or have nearly the skill of higher level executives? Let's just make everyone equal? Wouldn't that be nice?

Why only $10,000 of the depositors' money?

Why not $1,000,000?

After all, it's just extra money that people have lying around that they don't need.

Scary reading the comments following the article. So many delusional, ignorant people.

Use the company's profits to give every employee a raise of $10,000. According to the Observer, Oates said the move would "show the rest of the United States, if not the world, that yes, big corporations can have a heart other than philanthropic endeavors."

Well, hell, Tyrel! Why not $20,000 each!?!

NO SOUP FOR YOU!

I’d probably give the guy a promotion. I’m betting he has more guts and tenacity than his boss.

I would fire him for violating the usage rules of the corporate email system.

I would also fire him for disrupting the good order and discipline of the company. His stunt distracts employees.

At my first airline, a small commuter, a pilot sent an engraved hula girl clock to our CEO that said, ‘Thanks for keeping all the profits.’

We got a $100 bonus check along with our paycheck that week.

His boss should have told him, “You and everyone else did get a $10,000 raise and it’s being used to pay for your healthcare.”

” - - - “why not take some of this and distribute it to the rest of the employees.” - - - “

Ah yes, the Voice of the Re-Distribution Parasite Class.

Karl Marx had a more quaint way of expressing this parasitic idea:

“FROM EACH ACCORDING TO HIS ABILITY, TO EACH ACCORDING TO HIS NEED.”

I hate Wells Fargo. I will never do business with them again...

As for the corporate spammer, intentionally ccing 200,000 employees is an abuse of their IT resources. He has every right to ask for a raise, but spamming every other employee is a real jerk move.
