To feel repudiated, you first have to feel.
That word and its inconvenient connotation does not compute with him. He’s a sociopath.

That late 70's president you referred to, was not trying to 'remember how awesome' he was as you said. That ex-president was trying to
add on to his legacy. All wrong, always wrong, even more so wrong after his years in the office.
And yes, the Obamas (esp. Michelle) will be worse for the next 30 plus years. These guys are young (young-ish).

If getting B-slapped and pushed around by Putin, Assad, ISIS and Iran on a daily basis doesn’t make him feel repudiated, I wouldn’t think a little election would either.

The real reaction to look for is from the Congressional Democrats. The ones who will still be around next year.
Will they pressure Obama to moderate?
Will they support his amnesty initiatives?
Will they start voting on those 300 bills that Harry Reid has bottled up?
And of course, the key question: Has Obama learned a thing from yesterday’s election? I’m betting NO.
To: Sir Napsalot
he remains defiant and unwilling to face the seismic post-election realityThat's like the icing on the cake.
Obaman, listen to Val - she'll know what your next move should be.

he remains defiant That's because he has a heart as hard as flint.
His will is set in stone and he will not stand down for anything contrary to his will.
He will work to the end to infest us with his will, to take us to his utopia.
What do we do to fight him?
We resist him to his face.

That would be the very definition of "stuck on stupid". I doubted very much that he was as bright as people claimed he was. Now he's removed all doubt. The man is idiot.

‘Whether Democrats can convince Obama to back off his threats to go it alone in enacting executive amnesty in the wake of Democrats’ Tuesday night election debacle remains to be seen.’
Doubtful this will work. His oppositional defiance is likely at an all time high. He is mentally out of kilter, and setbacks like this only make it worse.
‘American presidents tend to be pragmatists, but Obama is locked into a simpleminded ideology of Good vs. Evil. Obama is Good, and anybody who disagrees with him is Evil.
Much of this oddity stems from the presidents personality, which many people have described as a mix of major narcissism, borderline personality disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder. Personality disordered people can be very functional in their jobs. But they are very destructive to others. People with such disorders rarely admit they can be wrong. Narcissism is almost defined by that feature: someone who knows with godlike certainty that he is right all the time, who cannot admit a fault, and who therefore needs to blame others every time something goes wrong. Obama does this with almost robotic regularity.’
