I’m sure no one is terribly surprised at the recent revelations that the much-hyped “Affordable” “Care” Act was passed on the basis of lies and deceit. Or as its architect, economist Jonathan Gruber gleefully told a group of health economists, ignorance afforded a political advantage and the bill was passed because of “the stupidity of the American voter.”
If anyone is surprised at this revelation, then perhaps Gruber’s assessment of Americans was correct. Think about it: a guy comes along and tells you that he can provide the same level of quality and service in a new healthcare program that will at once cover more people, reduce overall costs, deliver better quality of service with better outcomes to boot. And on top of that he promises that you can keep your existing doctor and insurance plan.

Consider that when asked about Gruber (americans were lied to) remarks, both said they are "considering" and will bring it up to the members.
No outrage, no getting in front of a microphone and demanding accountability. Just quietly. Doing business as usual. Go along and get along.
Both trying to figure how to get amnesty passed "properly."

THe US system depends on a moral knowledgeable electorate. Due to the mainstream media, we seem to have neither.

America’s strength was always in the diffuse, limited nature of its Government. Independent, responsible people, generally governing themselves in their local communities and States, with a strong civil society outside of government of the family, churches, clubs and associations forming the glue of society.
Without intending it, this is also the recipe for prosperity and freedom.
The more you centralize government, the more you warp civil society. That is when “collapse” comes.
