The Politics of Cosby, or Why the Liberal Protection Racket Failed to Protect THIS Bill C

Victor J. Massad Exclusive to gopbriefingroom.com

Why is it that people who have become symbols of decency in our culture are being systematically destroyed in their golden years? Perhaps they are living too long. A few years ago, Joe Paterno -- a man who was golden in the eyes of the American public -- died a disgraced man based on allegations having to do with his covering up the sexual peccadilloes of a subordinate. Today we are witnessing the systematic destruction of another formerly-golden icon, Bill Cosby, who by all accounts led a life that was far removed from his public image.

“Why is it that people who have become symbols of decency in our culture are being systematically destroyed in their golden years?”

They’re victims by their own hand!

There is no question that Cosby is a liberal Democrat but he stepped outside the liberal plantation too many times to get full protection.

From the Daily Mail =>

________________________________________________________________

Former NBC employee Frank Scotti, 90, worked for Bill Cosby during the 1984-1992 run of the Cosby Show

Scotti says Cosby had an agency bring a rotating line-up of young models to his dressing room -- some as young as 16

So any comment about those underage models?

There was information floating around during the Cosby show days that he would have women “ordered up” and that he preferred white women. This is probably the Scotti connection.

But I so much wanted him to be Dr. Huxtable. He was cute and funny and full of wisdom and clever and tender and all things good. I do not want it to be true. But I know that is a definite possibility. Maybe in stead of the good doctor we have a good actor. He needs our prayers either way.

Jo Pa got a bum deal in my opinion. He wasn’t doing the dirty deeds.

You nailed it. His protection ended when he started speaking out about the failures of black culture.

Victor Massad makes a credible point; apparently Bill Cosby was a serial adulterer and so was Bill Clinton. However, Cosby, although a staunch Democrat, is seeing his name and reputation destroyed at age 77 while Bill Clinton is a star in the Democrat party.

Cosby gets no sympathy from me but the article makes the point that Cosby going off the plantation to tell blacks that they need to stop doing drug, being promiscuous and acting like thugs to get out of the ghetto and take advantage of the opportunities this country has to offer. His refusal to keep the blacks-are-all-victims lie going is likely the reason he has been targeted for destruction. It is a warning to any other entertainers that might decided to tell blacks the truth. It will likely be effective.

If Bill Cosby, a well-liked black entertainer with a wildly successful 50-year career, now 77 and worth 400 million dollars, can be destroyed, so can anyone the left decides to target, no matter how rich and famous or how much of a loyal Democrat they may be.

I am reminded of the saying, “What goes around comes around” Even though I am in what might be described as an advanced age bracket I will do my damnedest to live long enough to see all these criminals brought to justice. My mother made it past 100. If necessary so will I.

Bill’s protection is now distancing itself him, because now the thug black underclass is assuming leadership of the black movement. Liberals will turn on each other on a dime. As they say, “No honor among thieves.”

This writer is a sick puppy who is pretty twisted himself.

“Most of these women were drinkers and drug users, and all of them were parasites who attached themselves to the fame and glamour of Hollywood celebrities in the hope that some of it would spill over to them. In the 1970’s and 80’s it was pretty common to party with booze and ‘Ludes then go fornicate like rabbits. And it is not unusual for women to have regrets afterwards.

The bottom line is that Cosby was a serial adulterer who took advantage of a lot of women and used booze and drugs to improve his chances. So what differentiates him from any frat boy on any college campus in this country? “

At the level of morals, if the allegations are true, it makes Cosby lecturing the black community on moral standards hypocritical and shatters the impression that he had type-cast himself as Dr. Huxtable.

At the level of legality, it rather depends on which state they were in and what the state of the law was at that time. 16 is the most common age of consent in the U.S. currently, and the push to raise it to or toward 18 (and remove "of a previously chaste character" provisions from statutory rape provisions) post-dates the years covered by Scotti's allegations.

I have a question but so far have not found a way to phrase it so the the mods don’t pull it.

Do Cosby’s defenders believe that he has not raped any of these women, zero, that he has never drugged and raped a woman, that each and every claim of it is false?

I think he had sex with a lot of women who knew full well what they were doing, including any drugs. I think he is as sleazy as the women who went to his hotel room. Behavior like that has been going on in Hollywood for about 100 years now, so it shouldn’t shock anyone. And I think the media is lapping it up to draw attention away from Obama declaring himself King.
